Agree. Each girl group needs a power vocal to do the high notes and she has such a powerful voice. Main vocal material. Nene & Zhouxuan are great too but they have soft voices which means they're more lead vocal position. Anyway Curley got first place in official fan voting result.

Major Cpop artists mostly have their own companies so they're free to do what they want instead of following the market.

Curley Gao & Nene were the Top 2 of PDCamp in Weibo super topic right now when they both were NOT even on Top 7 prior to the show airing. Which is why they both are NOT chosen for the sponsor CFs as they thought they aren't popular enough since they aren't topping any rankings back then. Crazy how 1 episode can change & shook up the entire ranking. And PDCamp also top the ratings and come out number 1 as well when many were starting to doubt them. @@NCJong1996 She actually have NEVER officially debuted as a solo yet. She did release songs on her own w/out a label & that is not considered as solo debut in China. That is like saying all RU-vidrs who release songs had debuted. Her first ever debut is w/ BBG which is why she was considered as the first ever center in a chinese idol survival show that is not a 'double-cook meat'. P.S. In case you are wondering 'double-cook meat' means idol who had officially debuted ready but still went to survival shows to re-debut. Curley was NEVER considered one. It was literally trending on Weibo how she is the 1st ever center that isn't double-cook meat right after she won.

It’s not just skill that she have but also how unique her voice is. Like not trying to be mean but like a lot of trainees have like similar voice and that often don’t make them like stand out. You need like a individual unique thing that different you from other to stand out.

The fact that she did the SAME EXACT song a half-step higher then Nene (she sang in the key of D), amazes me! Edit: I've watched this video so many times, and it's such an amazing cover 😍😍. Is it just me or does anyone else want a FULL STUDIO VERSION COVER of this song? Cause I most certainly do!!

@@BingDwenDwen well generally if she is going for a debut in a girlgroup China wouldn’t be a good market because girl groups and boy girl groups tend to not do as well as foreign groups in China. But solo I’m pretty sure she’ll do well but there’s a lot of competition good thing she’s doing super well these days with her group.

@@mochijimin8288 Well China focus more on individual singer song writers, which isn't a bad thing. girl and boy bands is getting more popular, and because of the popularity of KPOP, chinese music industry feels it is of national pride to have succesful CPOP girl and boybands aswell. But china does have a succesful girlgroup and that is SNH48 modelled after japanese girlgroup AKB48. But ofcourse its not in the style of KPOP which is more appealing to the West.

she has kind of solo debuted, not in official way but she has been to some other singing shows etc but they didn;t have the impact of idol shows. Have you ever heard of her in the past 2-3 years despite releasing few songs? This is the platform to showcase her singing and hopefully her composing skills as well

Yes but in my opinion, ywy have better dancers. Edit : actually ywy also have better vocalists. In Chuang 2020, only Curley Gao, Nene and Chen Zhuoxuan stand out for me, in Youth With You 2, Xinwen Xu, Yan Yu, Juicy Juo, Jue Chen, Yu Zhang, Rio Wang, Meddhi Fu and Roada Xu are amazing.
