Kiana, thank you! 🥺 I’ve curly hair as well and I hate it. I never styled it because I didn’t know how and the techniques I applied worked but it was so frizzy, tangled and lifeless. I saw you on TikTok, came here to check your routine, tried it out, and my hair looks amazing! I jumped to your hair styles video and I look like a complete, beautiful different person. So thank you for teaching me how to take care of my hair and thank you for making me feel so beautiful and confident ❤
Embrace the curls!! I feel you because I grew up with frizzy limp damaged hair because I didn’t know anything. I cried for other peoples hair all the time!! I was brushing it dry and using damaging products. In my 20s after doing a healthier routine for some time I learned my hair is 3b/3C curly and I really love it now! It takes time for damage to heal but when the curls come alive they’re fun and everyone cries for hair like ours 😅
For the back of your hair stretching and knotting.. I’ve recently started clipping them section away and styling it upright after I do the rest of my head, helps with less tangles and nice curl clumps
Try deep conditioning for 20 mins under a hooded dryer to give moisture to your scalp and see how it goes. Make sure you cover you wrap your head with a shower cap then micro fiber towel to trap in the heat and make sure the nourishing deep conditioner has little to no protein. Then after you can place protein back into your hair. Try that!
I have a smiliar curl pattern to yours and had issues with the back of mt scalp being dry and itchy and the Brigeo exfoliating shampoo completely changed that! It's definitely worth a try
For the back of my head, brush styling in an upright position works very well for keeping the curls defined and not tangly. Interestingly, my hair at the nape of my back and right on top gets mad at me if I try to brush style it 😅 I'm still struggling with the definition for the top of my head, especially towards the front of my head. Here my hair doesn't react well to any styling technique I've tried 😋
I think my problem is that I don’t use gel ever and I never put any type of product at the top of my head and I don’t diffuse which is why my hair is not curly at the top of my head. But then I thought oh, maybe it’s the weight because my hair is past my bottom
Loved your curly hair routine video - so helpful and real! Your curls look gorgeous, and I appreciate the honesty about not every day being a perfect hair day. Your product recommendations are awesome, and I'm definitely going to try out some of them. The diffusing technique is a game-changer ! Thanks for sharing your tips and making curly hair care more accessible. Looking forward to more content from you ! 🌀💖
You are such a livesaver! Its so difficult navigating the world of hair care as a girl with hair thats not quite wavy not quite curly (its kind of like different parts of my hair are different types, like wavy in the back curly in the front sometimes) but your content is so great for that and trying to formulate a great curlyish hair routine. One thing that im struggling with right now is conditioner weighing down my curls/waves to the point ive stopped using it so now my hair lacks moisture. Do you have any tips on lightweight curly/wavy hair care?
Can you maybe suggest any hair care products for naturally moderately coarse and curly hair(3a/b), oh and thick! I have hard time finding enough moisture.
how often do you wash your hair?? cause i’ve been tryin to go longer between washes, and i usually go 5 days, but by day 3, i’ll have so much product in my hair it feels gross to sleep on. so how long would you recommend?
