Another comprehensive review of many products. I have very sensitive skin now 65 yrs old. I had been using Lancome Genfique skin care line with very good results. My dermatologist suggested her line of skincare. I started using it three weeks ago and see a VAST improvement. I have always just used cleaning face soap and moisturizer. The newer to me products are light years ahead of my knowledge. You just don't know how a product is going to work until you try it....everyone's skin has different needs and tolerances. Thank you for helping so many of us have glimpse into all levels of skincare and makeup options. My new products from the dermatologist were more effective and less costly. $1,000 for one bottle of skincare to me is excessive, if you can afford it do. Your skin looks absolutely beautiful, so it is working for you.

I have the same mild aversion to body lotons. I have to recommend to you my HG for body care, it is the Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil, it’s a dry oil, cheap and so effective. It helped to significantly diminish the severe KP in my arms. It’s been the only solution for it after years of trying many treatments with several dermatologists.

I am going to be honest, this is the best your skin has ever looked since I started watching your videos. However, this brand had made your skin look flawless.

Hi Lexi! Thank you for rounding up your declutters and empties and sharing your current skincare products. Thank you as well for showing how your skin responded to the Auteur skincare products. It’s always helpful to see true before-and-afters. To be honest, on my screen, your “before” skin looked really great, and your “after” skin does not look significantly better. (I mean, on your “first thing in the morning” section - no under-eye puffiness, no dry patches, etc.) So I agree that the ~$1K serum may not be worthwhile - prescription retinoids cost far less and are proven anti-aging topicals. I am so sorry you’re having to cope with allergies - they can so debilitating.

@@LexiJongI hope this will help others who suffer, not only from allergies but also migraines. In 50 words or less, haha. Firstly, sad to say, cut down on the ice cream! Sugar feeds inflammation. But since I have been restricting sugar for years, that is not the full solution. I suspect it is a combination of things. I minimize legumes in my diet; I believe them to be inflammatory. I do on occasion have hummus or black beans. I also avoid soy. For others, avoid foods that you feel are inflammatory for you. Here is what I know has made a huge difference, because it was not in my diet at all before. I hope you like fish! Salmon twice a week, farm raised. So I googled if that might be contributing to stronger immune system and there is research to support this. I am proof. This allergy season except when cedar etc was at a high level, I didn’t even notice. And only needed to take Benadryl for a few days. It may have taken a year or more to get to this point, but I can attest, it definitely helps. ❤

The enzyme cleanser is it comparable to the new Sisley one? I've been meaning to pick one up and haven't yet. All the products look great. I hv to finish up some things. I hv the Sisley Hydraglobal the other one and I don't care for it either. I find it to be not very moisturizing. I'll try to use it up in the summer. I heard your voice right away and thought a cold. Hi lexi, I have redness problem with a lot of spider veins appearing on my face and was going to purpose the green container from chantecaille, have you ever tried it? It's the CBD one. @LexiJong Год назад
Hi Sam! I have the CBD lotion from Chantecaille and I like it. I use it in particular for contact dermatitis which I end up getting every spring/summer when gardening. I am not sure how it will do with the spider veins but it is a nice calming lotion. I write my start and end dates on the bottoms with a sharpie.

@@LexiJong thank you so much for your help. Do you happen to know anything for spider veins? The dates in a great idea, is the start date when you open it or buy it? I have quite a collection now and don't know if it needs throwing, selling or I can hold onto them as none are open, any advice? ❤❤
@LexiJong
@LexiJong Год назад
@@samb6330 unfortunately I don't know of anything in particular for spider veins but it's worth trying the CBD cream. I write the start date of when I begin using a product. For the most part, many items that are unopened can last years before going bad (depends on which actives are in there though) because usually it is the oxygenation that starts the degradation of the products or the introduction of contamination. I would look for any textural or smell changes in your products and if something seems fine but you still aren't sure, use it on your body so it doesn't go to waste. I'm not so great at using up my makeup so I try to make sure to use up all of my skincare!

Hi Lexi love enzyme wash i have from MBR it is expensive, but it does last very long time. When it comes to Calecim. I am not impressed at all. The serum is ok, for the crazy price. If Biologique recherche still had original placenta serum, i would choose over 10 times, the new vegan version is ok, but not the same. However price wise is so much better. And their multiaction cream, i didnt like at all. Well its ok, but the price is crazy. And actually mine was little left and got dry. I had the cream since November. Thats never happened to any skincare to me before. So i will stick with BR , but honestly, the only things what i am expecting from skincare is glow, brightness, and to calm, the skin, after actives, and good hydration. I dont like new reformulated BR colostrum serum. The old one was all i needed. So i am looking for new Hyluaronic acid to add, but i am not investing crazy money in skincare. My main things are good enzyme wash, P50 which is an amazing toner, with acids, which exfoliates the skin and also made my skin more robust not as sensitive, Good vitamin C i use Ferulic . Serum, i use placenta old one or new formulation, to calm skin down, and good cream moisturize . I use 2 day time BR cream placenta, which cost below 100$ , and its good and at night i love BR Masque Vernix which is more expensive its something over 200, but still not 400+ , and its very dense, i mix with little oil or cream pigm, for glow. Thats it and of course at night i use my Retin A , which i started only last November. Honestly, i strongly advise, to train your skin to acids, so you could start RetinA journey. Its not expensive, and it does amazing results, to the skin. If i go back in time, u would start using it, at least from 40. I know you are very optimistic, that skincare prevents aging. Not so much. I am little bit older than you. And believe me, once 50 hits, all new things start happening with your face. I am very holistic, and always had great skin. No issues whatsoever. So i never thought that aging will come . But it does, and what really does wonders to prevent, using more actives, vit C , retinA, and also investing in more medical treatments, to prevent sagging, loosing fate fat. And then again some women are ok, with little aging, but i am taking very hard, not looking 30 anymore 😂 so i am looking in non invasive treatments, like PRF ( which is like stem cells filler, all natural, instead investing 1000$ in a few creams. I dont believe that creams can prevent wrinkles, sagging or loosing facial fat. Have a blessed day🙏🧡
@LexiJong

I'm so sorry to hear you don't like the Calecim. For me, I like it better than the BR but I have only used a sample size of the placenta serum years ago. I have not really cared for the newer BR formulations either. I am working on building my skin up to RetinA. It's getting better each year. I don't believe that skincare will be miraculous at preventing aging either but I'm also not interested in invasive treatments, like you. Thank you for sharing your routine Giedre!

Hi Lexi, I have very dry under eyes skin during the winter here in Quebec. The Auteur eye cream is too expensive. Do you know of a more reasonable alternative for hydrating the mature under eyes skin? Thanks
@LexiJong
@LexiJong 9 месяцев назад
I have a few recommendations. The Circell ABO eye serum is great. I'm finishing up a bottle right now but have been using it since this summer. You can layer it with something else as well if you need more moisture. The Jones Road eye balm or Bobbi Brown eye base are both good moisturizing options. Also, Biossance squalane eye cream in the jar is a nice option. Depending on your budget, you might want to look at the Sisley eye mask which you can use as an eye cream (it will last years) and can often be found online at costco. The Retrouve eye concentrate is also something I use a lot during the winter. I usually pat it over a serum but this is also pretty high on the price list. And although it might seem odd, just a tiny dab of aquaphor under the eye can help seal in moisture and keep the area hydrated. Please let me know what you end up finding!
@Nathalie_Jackie
@Nathalie_Jackie 9 месяцев назад
@@LexiJong Thank you so much Lexi for your detailed reply. How do we find these products? Are they featured on some of your videos? BTW, I have the Sisley eye mask (the greenish looking tube) and the Sisley Supremya Eyes at night serum. But so far I haven’t seen much improvement. Now I think it just dawned on me that it’s a serum and not a cream.
@LexiJong
@LexiJong 9 месяцев назад
Yes I think that one is best layered if you need more hydration. I am not sure which of these I have in videos since I don't always feature skincare options. If I were you, I'd head to the store and see what you can find in person and try to get samples. Try the aquaphor or vaseline at night right now though and see if it helps. Just a tiny dab is all you need but it really helps imo.
