Back on December 29, 2014 Pewdiepie overtook Emimusic to become the the most viewed channel on youtube. At the point in time he held both the most subscribed channel spot and the most viewed channel spot. He continued his reign until February 14, 2017 when a familiar channel stole his top spot. T-Series became the most viewed channel after that and has held it to this day. T-Series has held the title for most viewed youtube channel for 2,292 days and counting. The only channel that could potentially pass T-Series in views is Cocomelon who currently has 160.4 Billion Views. When I made this video in 2021, most of the list was all companies. Now we are starting to see the shorts channels take over. There are multiple shorts channels gaining over 1 Billion views a month consistently and are approaching the Top 50 List fast.
