TWSBIs usually aren't scratchy, it's the shimmers that make nibs feel scratchy. I don't trust FWP inks too much xD not a lot of them are great and most shimmers create a scratchy sound when you write because of their particles scratching against the nib and paper if the ink isn't lubricated. But my Fine Jowos do have some feedback to them, so I'm not sure if you're getting feedback or scratchiness. Though your ink colors with your pens are on point! :D I always hate when shimmers make things go south a bit xD

I love my Hongdians, actually more than my Jinhaos. I have the Peacock one as well and the N8 Maple leaves one!

I wrapped the red part of the converter with some washi tape

Just contact them, I’m sure they’d send a new one. They probably retail for $6. See if it will use another z24 so you know where the problem lies.

Goulet pens have excellent customer service on what to do they can replace or put you in contact with the manufacturer warranty

I do think you can buy the black lamy converters separately on goulet pens
