I liked how you did the swatches in the last notebook from 2023 and the new one in 2024. It's always interesting to see everyone's variances of how they catalog the swatches. I find these videos very helpful as I'm a beginner and I'm trying to figure out what ink samples to purchase to get beyond the basic blue and black ink.

I’ve had the same trouble with my Kakimori every now and then! Then I saw someone just dipping it quickly and writing, and so I stopped trying to be fancy and just randomly got it going again. 🙈 I wish I knew wth I did wrong, but until then… 🤷🏽‍♀️ So weird, but I’m also left-handed so I always blame stuff on that. Enjoyed your video! 🥰

Hi Tiff! Maybe your Kakimori Nib isn’t working because of any residue from the production which is still on the material. Use some dishwashing soap and a toothbrush and clean it very thoroughly. If it still does not work, light a candle and carefully go with the nib through the flame. This process is done with nearly any calligraphy nib, because otherwise they would not work. Hope this helps. - Andrea

What kind of ink do you use for the yoseka stamp so that the fountain pen ink doesn't mess up the image?
