I'm not that familiar with currents but for a first listen this track is really good to be introduced to this band, I really dig this🔥

I think they delivered on exactly what you were asking for with more creativity in the new album tracks. I absolutely love the entire record front to back. As a guitarist, the riffs from better days may never leave my head ha.

The riffs towards the end of « Let me leave » tho... Shiiittt.. One of the best I’ve heard in metalcore so far this year.

Split and Origin are my favourites

i dont give a flying shit what this guy or anyone on here thinks. This song does it's purpose, it slams. The lyrical content is straight forward and sometimes less is more. In this case they hit fuckin grand slam.

Still wish y’all would do Currents-Into Despair!!! I swear it’s their best song still!

Without listening to a lot of currents before. I had no contest. But DAMN this song is SO GOOD.

I challenge you to listen to each track at least twice then give an update on the review. I have had the album on repeat from yesterday and it gets better with every listen. Good honest review as always 👌

Thanks for the video! Gonna check out the entire review/reaction later. Haven’t suggested in a while but REALLY been enjoying CORAZON by NOVENA. They’re a “supergroup” with a few people you’d probably recognize- Ross Jennings from HAKEN, Gareth Mason SLICE THE CAKE, Dan Thornton ex-HAARP MACHINE (plenty others), Cameron Spencer RAVENFACE (tbh don’t know him), Moat Lowe’s (Sludgdg) and Harrison White (a theatrical director and composer). Really enjoyed the entire album but CORAZON is probably gonna be one of my favorite songs of the year. Hope you two check it out either in the channel or just personally! Thanks for the content. I still think Monsters is a great track and the best single of the record. Didn't enjoy any of the other singles nearly as much as this one. Maybe your expectations got too high because of the wait? But anyway, the album is really good. Better Days is probably my favorite right now, beautiful album closer! Excited for your TGI reaction next!

They definitely maintained their sound with the singles but there are new elements in almost every other song. The vocalist featured with a band called Before I Turn a while ago on a song called Sleep. They dropped a new album recently, they're definitely worth checking out as well

Saw these guys with abr at their last Christmas show, this album is so fucking good!!! Currents killed it!

I still think the "I let the Devin In" EP is their best work, but the last two songs on "The Way it Ends" is some seriously good work all around.

I know a few people sat on that new make them suffer album as the preorders got delivered on Friday

I agree. Mixed feelings on this album. Mostly disappointed. Currents have easily been one of my top bands but this album is just super meh in my opinion.
