Its a solid album. Heavener is 10/10 for me and the Currents album is probably a 8.5 for me. So Alone, The Death We Seek or Unfamiliar are absolute bangers off this album, excited for more reactions!
@@Justin-nq6kf I vibe a lot more with the older currents stuff. The “I let the devil in” EP is still my fave material of theirs. But yeah IA is my fave band ever so I’m biased but they are on a diff level than currents for me personally. But def have a lot of respect for them.
@@Justin-nq6kf I love both. Heavener was just more unique in my opinion. Every song sounded so different from the other and wasn’t generic at all. Currents TDWS album was great too but a few songs sounded samey.

Currents is a very good band and the instrumentals are on point, I've discovered them a few months ago and have truly loved their music. Listen to monsters, kill the ache or so alone. They're very good!

Forever Marked is an INCREDIBLE song from a few years back, about the scars our troops carry with them for the rest of their lives. You must do that one at some point!
I saw them last month (Invent Animate was one of the openers) and it was an incredible show. The guys stuck around to meet everyone after the show and they were so nice. I really like their last two albums, The Way It Ends and The Death We Seek.
You should listen to Currents The Way It Ends album that came out before this one. It’s really good! I wouldn’t react to the first track on it because it’s a short intro track. just go straight to A Flag to Wave. Excellent song!
Great first choice. If you're going deeper, check out Unfamiliar or The Death We Seek from the same album, or Kill The Ache from their last album. Very different styles for all, but all awesome tracks.
This song is off their most recent album. This is probably against the popular opinion, but I feel like this album is far from what they are capable of. Especially living under IA's shadow this year, but if you want to get into Currents, check out The Way it Ends (from 2020)
Currents is good but I cant get into them like I do Invent Animate. Can't wait until you get back into some more IA especially their previous 2 song EP video that starts with "The Sun"
i tried getting into currents, i have a few of there songs scattered through my spotify but not as good as invent animate, just my opinion :) clean vocals arent particulary catchy, the effect almost sounds autotuned on the singer, not for me
