@@TheAdventureBuddies We did, over Mother's Day weekend!! It was a wonderful trip, family reunion...we had 7 units!! Everyone had a blast!!

@@TheAdventureBuddies The waterfalls were extremely full, and waterfalls that are not usually there were also beautiful!! Because of the large snow melt Housekeeping camp had to be evacuated due to rapid river rise! Camp Curry was the ideal, perfect location to satisfy a large group with different ages & activity levels!!

Yeah we liked it better than the valley lodge as it gives more of a camping (well glamping experience ha). But regardless you’ll have a great time at Yosemite!

TBH I can’t remember but don’t think so. Believe you just got your tent key (doors lock). But believe you can walk around freely from site to site.

Depends how you determine a long way, a car (nope), bike (nope) walk (yes).

Good ole inflation… but it was an incredible experience there at the park. Super convenient and was nice to not battle the crowd of cars getting into the park each morning

Thanks! Right before school lets out. Lots of water from the melting snow (waterfalls flowing nicely), weather is warming up but not too hot, and avoids the summer crowds.

So they do have heaters in them…but we only stayed once in the summer so I can’t speak to how well they retained their heat

You get one with your tent and it comes with a lock.

@TheAdventureBuddies thanks much, however, we are not staying in a tent. On our last day, we will have to check out, hike Yosemite with our food packed, then head to a SFO hotel at night. So we know we can't keep food in the rental car for hungey bears to unwrap!!! I heard they have some of these bear bins elsewhere in Yosemite but I don't know where, any particular trailhead parking lots? Do some places have them and some not? Is it first come first serve? But then that would be beary dangerous! ;P Can I lock them? Do I bring a lock for those, do you know? Some place in Tennessee says you share them with other guests Sorry, I'm not that trusting. I try, but don't want our vacation food stolen by bear OR hungry hiker. ;D I know this is a bit out of your video realm, but hoping you have been there and know more. Thanks for any insight.

No lock needed they provide. And yes reserved parking, but was rather full when we got there. But you got a pass.

I spoke to Yosemite folks today and they said you need to bring your own lock for the bear box, just saying

I would say so. We parked our car in CV and never used it. We rented bikes to get to some of the farther hikes. There may be a few hikes out of reach, but I think you can shuttle to them, but never done it

You reservation to curry village will act as your day pass. So in short, No you do not need a day pass

I did a reservation just to get the pass to the park. As it is nearly impossible to get vehicle entry pass. So it was a $500 entry pass

@@napman99 if you have a camp reservation somewhere inside the park, then that acts as a day pass to get in. Day passes sell out very quickly every day so just driving up to the park on the same day is not a guarantee you will get in. However, if you’re desperate enough to get into the park, some people will book a camp/lodge/airbnb reservation even if they have no intention of staying there, just to be able to get in the park. That’s what they mean by $500 pass. Hope that makes sense !!

That was in the 90’s. It was due to the insulation they had in the tents. They tore it all out and have never have a problem since. I just got home today from staying there. I highly recommend Curry Village!

Assuming inflation is hitting there as well? We got a standard rate when we went, so no special deal…

Yeah we heard it can get crowded as the weather starts getting better. Last year when we went it was def less crowded…for obvious reasons
