Oh I love this video. It is so crazy that you had 150 subscribers when you released it 6 months ago. How you have grown! 😊 This looks just as yummy as I remember it. Fantastic video, you guys!
In the 90s, we had a German foreign exchange student. He said he HATED German food. LOL He wanted American food - but not very much of our food is actually American. He liked pizza (not American), but also he loved BBQ and hamburgers (I'll claim those as American-LOL). If I still ate meat, I'd eat that Polish sausage and the sauce all day long!! I bet those birds were waiting for the BEER!
🤣 That’s so ironic! Lol. BBQ definitely agree on the American...maybe Fried Chicken too?? Not the healthiest options. I bet this Curry Ketchup would taste great on a cauliflower “steak” Good for you for going meatless! 😊
You had me at "curry"! I would love to try this! German cuisine doesn't get enough press in my opinion so I love that you guys really do a great job promoting it. Wow what are those huge birds?! Enjoy your epic day of eating - we wish we could join you!
Thanks Lucy!!! Totally agreed on the German food. We absolutely love it when we find a great German restaurant here in the States. Those birds are super sweet, but we've always hesitated to hand feed them because of their huge beaks.
You had me at curry! lmao. I come from a Mauritian family (on my Dad's side) so growing up I've developed a strong relationship with curries, and spicy foods, so this was right up my alley ... and boy did it look amazing. The only downside is I'm salivating a lot now, with nothing to eat. Shame on you for tempting my taste buds! LMAO.
Those dishes with the bold spices are the best! That’s awesome you grew up with that influence because sometimes people miss out on it just from lack of knowing how good it can be.
Oh, man! I got introduced to currywurst when I was in Germany back in 2011. I fell in love with it on the spot! I've made it a few times since but the sauce just didn't seem right. I'll give yours a try and see how it turns out.
I never even knew of the existence of a Currywurst but I wouldn't be able to try one because I have a pronounced disliking for curry trust me, it's not pretty) But when I went over to Germany, me and my brother went into a McDonalds (it was either in Frankfurt or Dusseldorf) and we tried a burger that instead of burger patties, it was Bratwurst patties and it was pretty tasty, you have to try one when you go to Germany, it's almost like a tradition
That’s great to look out for. The only McDonald’s we’ve hit up in Germany so far was right next to Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin and it was crazy busy so we didn’t get a chance to buy anything. That bratwurst Patty sounds really good.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but serving Currywurst with bread is the berlin-style version, right? My countrymen are also often serving it with a side of fries! Good call cutting the sausage at an angle btw, very traditional!
CurryWurst was “created” in Berlin so we had to pay homage with our Berliner Potato Salad. Thank you for watching, and yes, that angled sausage was GOOD!
