We are in great company loving this song. I can still savour my walks around the cemetery in my mind's eye, listening to Midnight Boom in my headphones, inhaling the smell of earth and dreaming of a future filled with nothing but art. Making music and movies and paintings and drawings and jewels and mementos - and so, so many words - with my love. This song was a staple in our live sets for many years, playing to but a handful of likeminded rebels and smiling punks. Ryan and I went to as many Kills shows as we could in the mid-2000's and beyond... Always a ride that let us thrive, dancing carefree in the company of other lovers and movers and weary travelers.
This performance was recorded and shot and directed by us, Cursed Arrows, at home with our Seagulls and Eastwoods, Silvertones and Fenders, Yamahas, Zildjians and Paistes, Pendletons and Magill hats and Daniel Hill and July Talk shirts. Light and leaves; spirit and silence. Surrounded by objects and energies that bring us inspiration and a song that lifts us up in elation.
