There are 54 valid weapons in wild, for one of you to get a cursed blade is 2 in 54. For both to get it is 1 in 3136 or about 0.03%

Actually the Chance for a player to get cursed blade would be 1 in 54. The chance that both players get it is (1/54)^2 which is 0,0004 aka 0,04%. (not as much difference as I thought whoops) but yeah...

I actually think Blizzard has a "meme counter" that they run secretly, and in it they trigger all kinds of unlikely scenarios that just make players go "WTF DID THAT JUST HAPPEN"

2/54 would be for draw without replacement. This is draw with replacement, both players can get the same weapon. The odd that at least one player gets a curse blade is 1 - (odds that neither player get cursed blade) which is 1-(53/54)^2. The odd that *exactly* one player (but we dont care which one) gets a cursed blade is 2 * (1/54 * 53/54).
