3:17 ok exception to this rule is when you say something that you mean literally but can be taken figuratively to mean a racist thing. I can't think of a good example for a racist one but here's what I'm talking about: I was telling my cat to stop being a carpet muncher because he was literally munching on the threads in the carpet (my cat likes eating thread but it's dangerous bc it could wrap his organs or something bad) and realized after that it sounded wrong because a derogatory term for lesbians is "carpet muncher".
