love the intro and how every player is so afraid when seeing that beautiful zirkis :) also saw the video with the hot take of tryhards/casuals and I think he has a point. dnd is not that competitive if you compare it to mordhau for example, look at the melee combat. mordhau is cracked with parries and ripostes, dnd mostly decision making, spacing and stat-checking. also the way they added frost mountain which is clearly pve focused with no real intention of pvping, i feel like the devs prefer it that way. ull always have ppl competing in online games, thats just how it is and I think thats good. some ppl (including me) obv want to get better, but I feel like mixing it with casuals in this game might be a mistake. I have no real solution for that but I feel like those casuals should not be forced to play ranked when going into highroller, there should probably be another non-rank HR queue (yay more queues, empty lobbies). the ap system with rewards in general was a big mistake this season, mixing casuals with competitive players cause everyone wants the rewards... what happens when doing so you only have to open reddit.
If you do this build again, use the cyclops vision crystal instead, it gives 2 more weapon damage and 1 all. With that amount of attack speed, you are only getting the zerkzis effect every other swing. So the weapon dmg will be more useful, and the 1 all is always nice.
4:25 The problem with the playerbase isn't that sweats are ruining it, it's that the timmies refuse to play normal and cries that HR is such a hassle and they get their head rocked by geared players. They want to enjoy casual gameplay in the varation of the game that is meant for sweats.
I think the only way this game could survive as a more "casual-friendly" game is with a vast overhaul to PvE content. I don't know if that would be the right direction, but I could see the game succeeding if they worked on more interesting enemies, improving their AI, and cranking out map after map and class after class with new content that isn't locked behind too many quests or too much grind. But that's the Fortnite strategy, and that only works with a huge, talented, and crunched-out-of-their-minds dev team. I think the healthiest thing for the game would be a big expansion on the number of builds available, so that the skill of hardcore players can be expressed in more than just a handful of ways (you know, like the class trainer system that's coming in a few days). The casuals are only going to be appeased my more content unfortunately, and I think the best way to give them that would be to introduce dynamic encounters to the dungeons. Rare/roaming mobs and mini-bosses would be a huge addition to the game, because it would break up the PvE and pathing monotony for veteran players and provide casual players with more things to discover to keep them coming back
Mordhau is a good example of what can happen to a great skill expressive pvp game. Some games arent meant for casual play, and its really up to the developers to decide what they want and the player base to decide if its their cup of tea or not. Both are great games, with toxic communities.
I think dark and darker needs just a bit more skillful combat options, not to become mordhau but at least a thing or two to allow for more than like movement spacing and m1
I feel like some of the end game gear is way over tuned like the difference between greens and purples is rediculous same with the difference between purples and legendary/uniques. The skill isn't an issue it's when you don't stand a chance in a fight that that the game can suck I feel that all gear stats should be nerfed the difference between rarities and amount of Stats that roll on gear should be lower. Of course you should be more powerful in legendary and unique gear but it shouldn't be so bad that you 2 shot someone in purples and blues while they have to 6 or 7 shot you
You aren't ruining the game, but if people encounter sweats almost every round, they will inevitably stop playing. The sweats don't get discouraged, because they don't constantly lose.
what exactly does zyrkzys eye do for thise build tho? its like maybe 5-8 dmg, i think mana sphere/cyclops vision might be better (other than the swag). am i missing something?
rapier is +7 speed over claw, and the -20% mspeed and action speed is gross on viola, allows you to out kite, and if you do face someone with a falchion you can hit them 3 times before they hit you twice, and rapier out ranges the arming sword and won't get caught on a door frame if your having a weird door battle.
