So glad to have found you! I got my transit 2 weeks ago and took the headliner out and did the Maxxfan. I have so much more to do and your videos will be a great help!
This video answered SO many questions for me! You are incredibly brave to tackle all of it. The air bags had me especially worried. I'm thinking of buying the same van. I like everything about it, but I realized it must have air bags for all of those non-existent passengers. I didn't know what the air bags looked like or how much of a challenge it would be to get them out. You taught me that, and a great deal more. I have nothing but respect for you and for how you tackled this. THANKS!
"I might save you some steps, like you might have your insulation ready before you take down your headliner". Laughed to self. Too bad I didn't see this video before I decided at a whim that I was going to take down my headliner today. Thanks for the video. Super helpful as I was trying to figure out how to remove my airbags.
Just came across your video kudos to you girl for having a go and succeeding. Some times its handy to have 2 pairs of hands... Look forward to the rest of your build videos... good luck... airbags are expensive hope you get some payback there...
How many air bag testers do you need for a transit van. Just came across your channel and it’s going to be a interesting van build out. I also have a passenger Ford transit van because I like all the windows.
Just ordered my 2021 Transit yesterday. Bought a passenger van because it comes with a complete interior. Our build is going to incorporate the factory interior. We’re using havelock wool insulation.
What did yall use to fill in the holes? I have watched so many videos trying to figure out the best thing to use due to expanding and rust etc. Thanks!
I used this stuff www.amazon.com/Great-Stuff-157906-Insulating-Sealant/dp/B0002YW0W0/ref=asc_df_B0002YW0W0/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198098765755&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1870790951708793969&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010935&hvtargid=pla-367145081267&psc=1
I have just removed my airbags and i do not have those airbag simulators, are those used to keep the other airbags working? where did you order those? Do i have to have them?
A few reasons: more room, and don't need em. They would destroy my future cabinets if they ever went off, and I don't plan on having passengers in the back.
thanks for the information on the airbags. we were looking for information specific to our van. airbags and emulators. we have the Transit 350 passenger as well. great work, good luck and enjoy your van conversion..
