Actually Curtis is wrong, he hits Jailton with an uppercut right on the chin, which causes him to get rocked and changed his head position, then he got pounded by unanswered hammer fists to the side of the head. It’s pretty hard to see, but there’s slow mo shots of the sequence and its there

I don't want, to want, to see fighters get finished, purely because their style doesn't promote fighting, but this almeida guy has stifled countless fights that could have been good, recieving a fair amount of audience booing, then wnders round the ring with a stupid grin in front of a dismayed audience, hope he learns how to fight, this is primarily the entertainment game, so entertain us almeida, not leave us shaking our heads in disbelief.

@@SilentkidgamingHis fight against Lewis was abysmal. He held him, nothing else, even when he had full mount or in a position to get a sub or Ground and pound, he just held Lewis. He was doing the same thing to Blaydes but thankfully he wasn't having it.

Almeida just went straight for that takedown, no feint or something. Blaydes defended it well, almeida got stuck, blaydes used his left arm to keep him in that bad position as he hammerfisted his head. Some good TDD for blaydes

He wasnt even stuck. Blaydes wanted to anchor his head down, but I noticed Almeida had his hands locked the entire time on the single leg. Looked like he didnt realize the hammer fists were doing so much damage and ended up rocked quickly. I think he just wanted to keep working the single leg because all he does is hug.

The thing is, almeda just showed a huge flaw in Blaydes fighting style. Blaydes have no takedown defence whatsoever. Getting taking down 10 times in a single round is not a good look. If almeda was a bigger guy like Tom he would have done great damage to Blaydes. I don't see Blaydes beating Aspinall. The only person that i see beating Tom is Cyril Gane. Gane is as fast and elusive as Tom Aspinall and Gane has showed that he can defend the takedown and keep the fight standing during his last fight with Spivak. Sadly, Tom is now avoiding a fight with Gane like a plague.

Splendid. Other fighters should learn from this. When someone takes you down like that and his/her head is open use a hammer fist instead of trying to get back up. Most fighters never learned from the same mistakes they've been in.

Curtis Blaydes is the most underrated UFC fighter, possibly ever. He's getting to be in that conversation of "greatest fighters never to win a belt" which is a conversation you don't want to be in, but when push comes to shove, it's better than nothing.

I 'm not an experts of UFC rules, but I believe Curtis Blaydes hit Jailton Almeida with 19 hammer fist, with 4-6 of them hitting him directly in the back of the head.
