Excellent job as usual by the sorely missed Curtis Potter. Curtis in his younger days worked with Ray Price and sounded just like Price. Check out Curtis’ “Case Of Sorrow” on Capitol from the early 1970’s for example. This sound alike resemblance very likely hurt his career from being thought of as a copy rather than an Original. One of the very best singers of real country music, my favorite of his is “Honky Tonks Are Calling Me Again”. Thanks for the post.
What is the name of the man who plays the fiddle on this song and so many, many more of the Country Road videos. Not only listening to him and watching him play, from his looks whenever he is watching someone else play and especially when he is featured, his dedication and love for what he is doing really shines through. He looks like someone who would be great to sit down with and share his years in country music.
