I AM EXTREMELY SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCES.
In curve fitting method, the natural logarithm (ln) is often used when fitting an exponential equation of the form y = ae^(bx) to a set of data points.
The reason for using the natural logarithm is because it can transform an exponential equation into a linear equation. Taking the natural logarithm of both sides of the equation, we get:
ln(y) = ln(a) + bx
Now, if we plot ln(y) against x, we get a straight line with slope b and y-intercept ln(a). We can then use linear regression techniques to find the best-fit line and determine the values of a and b for the original exponential equation.
Using the natural logarithm to transform an exponential equation into a linear equation is a common technique in curve fitting, and can be used with other types of functions as well.
