You guys did a nice job on it. I'm a sportbike guy myself but maybe one day I'll jump over to the cruiser side. I might have gone with a louder exhaust system on it though. My 2 cents lol. Good work! 👍
I like what you did with the handlebars, the breather looks good, the SE pipes don't excite me very much.....exhaust note is not enough and it looks...it just doesn't do it for me. Fender delete looks good. Any way to move the forward controls to mid's? Good job.
Had those bars installed on my FXDR. Here are the HD part #'s the dealer used to install them. 12400187, 25416-99C, 25700965, 32700050A, 37200378, 41600260, 41800770, 55985-10 (Street Slammer bars), 56100231 (Dominion Grips), 56298-03A, 61400598, 61400599 and 69200034.
. I purchased a sportster from dillion harley in elkorn and the day before harley service went through the bike but screwed up adjusting the spokes and left the rear wheel was 1/4 inch out of true. I get on to go for a ride and the first bump I hit blew the tube. They wouldn't even replace just the tube they claimed the had to replace the undamaged new tire. At the purchase I was told I could buy parts and stuff and add it to the financing. I told them I would order some but if It couldnt be ship to my home I didnt want to order because I lived to far away the parts guy promised it would come to my home that was a lie. The way ot was explained to me Thier service is like all harley. If you spend alot you can expect honest service but if not they dont care that thier poor service might wreck you.
the front end is way better, shouldnt have gone with the screamin eagle stuff, id have gone with some drag pipes and a naked air intake, big plus getting rid of that ugly rear fender too. all in all you took a bike i thought was disgustingly ugly, and made it something id actually consider riding. good job fellas!
I prefer the Stock look and Exhaust, the sound was no different, the only advantage is weight. And the Rear fender that I'm keeping in mine, is great unused space to strap on a mini bag for tools or whatever ??,,,Harley got it right with the stock look. If anything, I'll put an V&H FP3 and tune it to the stock pipe, to perhaps raise the rev limit and bypass the Governor. Any change of the stock look will just make this bike look like a Breakout with better ground clearance.
