Beth You are such a wonderful person and sweet and beautiful and you have very special talents which we all thoroughly enjoy. Your daughter Evie is so lucky to have a mother like you. She looks so much like you. I love your accent and your love of Tartans and the way you challenge yourself to do more difficult procedures for doll making items. You are so precise with your instructions and I feel you are very easy to understand. I hope one day you do Romeo and Juliet themed gown for Blythe dolls. I love English and Italian Renaissance gowns. I prefer historical clothing over Modern, mostly. I love all your videos and enjoy when you put more onto You tube. You are such a blessing to all of us.
I absolutely love your videos. I've been in love with Blythe dolls and have started my internet searches, gathering knowledge. Cant wait to finally purchase and customize my first one.
Adorable 😍 your handmade fashions are so lovely, and as always I enjoy your journey from start to finish, these videos are very enjoyable and quite relaxing for me, thank you so much for sharing.
Nice!!! So inspiring!! I plan (someday 😳) to open the head of a Fake Blythe I have and change her face plate, apply sleeping eyes. I wil use your videos as base. These are the best, well explained videos about Blythe customization I ever found in the web! Thank you so much!!
I literally just found the other parts of this series yesterday and I feel so excited to watch this one! Your art is fantastic, thanks for filming this~
Hiya Beth , Thanks for the great videos . I was just wondering on the tattoo transfer if when you pull at the fabric will it split the picture , I’ve had other doll clothes with picture transfers that the pictures have spilt , I’ve used temp tattoos on fabrics before for projects but they have split to , but the fabric was a heavier kind so maybe that made a difference . So just wondering if you found that issue with this , and on the lighter fabric or if it was ok . I hope it makes senses what I’m trying to say !? Thanks xx
Hi! Thank you very much! If you were to stretch or pull hard enough then yes I imagine the transfer would split, I think you would have to be pretty rough with it for it to happen though. If you’re worried this could happen then I would make sure to use them on clothes patterns with an open back (with Velcro or snap fastenings?) So there’s no need to stretch/pull clothes up the body. I just bought some thicker iron on transfers that look like they’ll be excellent on dark fabrics, so hopefully they’ll work as well and you’ll see them in an upcoming video 😉 I do hope that helps!
Hi! I prefer to draft my own patterns, I'll sketch out the finished design, then figure out how to break it apart into a pattern. I will often look for a full scale dressmaking pattern in the same style as I'm trying to achieve, then attempt to miniaturise it. I take measurements from my doll and transfer them to the shapes from the dressmaking pattern. Otherwise I do see a lot of free patterns on Pinterest, and you can find a lot through Google image searches too! Hope that helps, thanks for watching! ^_^
Hi Beth, I watched this video again for learning and entertainment purposes while recuperating and you asked us what we would like for you to do next that we might be interested in. I have been into Marie Antoinette gowns and her hair style. I wondered if you might like to try something like that when you don't have too much to do. I think the gown is very similar to the Colonial style gowns from 1776. The French gowns were just puffed out more on the hips and had those cages underneath to make the waist appear smaller. I never tire of your talents and ideas. Thank you for being you!
Thanks so much Elaine! That is a wonderful idea! I loved learning about historical fashion and dressmaking techniques at art school, and would definitely enjoy recreating some of those extravagant dresses in miniature!!
If you put any of those quilted jackets or whatever they are I'm bad with types with the ones you made it if you put them in your shop before you send Danny home please let me know I'll buy a couple it getting time coming or shoe I get more girls
Hi! Not at all! For some fabrics types/weights it's easier for me to hand sew, because my regular sewing machine loves to eat the seam allowance and it drives me nuts!! Cotton and heavier fabrics are usually fine in the machine though. I do also have an old Singer machine that has a very small hole that the needle goes into, which never eats up my seam allowance, so it's really good for miniature sewing! Thank you for watching ^_^
What a great video! Thanks for showing this process, how cool! I love all the beautiful little clothes you've made :) I'd love to see more of these patterns! I'm rotten at sewing, but I just love customizing dolls so it's nice to have good guides about stuff like this.
Thank you so much! I'll definitely be making more clothes videos soon, and I'm going to try to present the pattern nicely for people to get, perhaps in an A4 PDF with nice clear instructions. Thank you for watching!
@@BethRamsden ooh, that sounds delightful! I'll be looking forward to what the future holds :D I have a Blythe on the way who will be one of my Alice In Wonderland dolls, she'll need lots of great clothes!
Definitely! I have a few videos already on different types of Blythe shoes (in my Doll crafts playlist) and I'll show at least 2 methods in my next one :D
Hi! All the patterns I have for sale are on my website www.bethramsden.com including some freebies. If there's a specific pattern you're interested in please let me know, so I can prioritise it when I have time to process patterns again ^_^
