You can't machine what you can't hold... so it's time to make a custom workholding solution for my new Shapeoko 3 XL to prepare for batch processing of the upcoming Dual Vaults!
This time, I'm making some plywood CAM clamps and L brackets to make switching between repeatable jobs a snap!
Project links coming soon!

I know this is a couple of years old now, but could you post the links to where you got the cam files? Also - great video! Subbed!

This video is about 7 months old at this point but I wanted to point out that the cam clamps work better if you cinch them up, hold them in place and tighten the bolts you have in each of the clamps. Leaving them just friction tight can lead to failures. I keep a socket on the table specifically for tightening up my cam clamps.

Great video, i was hoping that you might have the link to make these on my xxl. I am putting my machine together this week so this will be my first cut lol. I subscribed as well to your channel..

How well do these hold? Around 2:02, you can see one one of the clamps moving as you're adjust the other clamp - makes me a bit nervous.

After properly tightening the bolts, they have held well for almost 200+ over these boxes, so pretty well!

This is not a very good way to secure the material you are working with, this type of clamps do come lose from time to time and can cause your material to be not usable anymore. The best way of clamping the material is by doing it towards the wasteboard due to the fact that its clamped against the waste board and not side to side with a not so good method as the side to side clamps shown in this video. I would not really recommend this method at all.

I know you were just showing how you're clamps worked. But I hope you cut a bunch of those vaults out at once and you didn't just do one at a time.
