This is my custom CoreXY-converted Ender 3 Pro, loosely based on the design from Tanguy on Hackaday.
This project is still in very early stages. I have since redesigned the motion system and motor mounting/belt tensioning, and am planning on adding a third Z-axis motor for automatic Z leveling.
Settings in above video:
150mm/s speed
11000mm/s² acceleration
.2mm layer height
.4mm nozzle
Motion system has tested as high as 400mm/s, 17000mm/s² but my hotend can't keep up.
Please let me know any questions you've got about the printer in the comments, I'd be glad to answer them. Once I've got a tried and true design, I'll add the STEP file and BOM to the Hackaday project below.

This is cool. I have been looking at a way to reuse the parts on my ender3.You should start a new Project as this looks quite different from the tanguy project.

I have thinking about moving it to a new project. I think I will once I finish the mounting solution for the electronics.

Really cool! I'm currently looking into options for making a linear rail corexy from a gutted Ender and stuff I have lying, and this seems like a really nice design. Gotta dig through these original designs. Looking forward to updates :)

Thank you! I'll be posting an update soon. I've begun shifting the Z axis to a three motor design. I was running into problems with the bed throwing itself far enough out of level that a probe couldn't fix it whenever I lifted the print sheet off, so I am working on implementing a 3-point mount.

I made something very similar with my ender 3. But I'm going to change it since mine is hard to enclose because of the ender 3 extrusions and my bed isn't rigid.

That was the challenge I ran into when using the original Ender 3 extrusions as well. I wanted this to double as an ABS workhorse and enclosure just isn't really doable with the original extrusions, so I ended up buying 10x 1000mm 2020 extrusions to build a frame.

Nice, how’s the hgx extruder? Got one on the way rn

HGX has been great. While it's definitely not as light as some other large gear extruders, it still gets the job done at a fraction of the price and is an absolute tank.

hackaday.io/project/186229-corexy-ender-3 Sorry about that - I had uploaded this over mobile which messed up the link. I'll fix the link in the description.

Is this an ender 3 at this point?

I came to ask the same

Honestly, not much, no. But it is still capable of reusing the bed, motors, and a few other components. I'd also like to publish a version that still uses V-rollers to keep it a bit more affordable.

That's cool and all but nothing about that is Ender 3.

See my reply to FlapD's comment - there are actually still a few parts from the E3 that can still be kept, and I'm working to introduce a bit more compatibility for the original parts for those who want to keep it on a budget. The next two things I'd like to do is allow for compatibility with the E3's extruder/motor and add compatibility with the original hotend. Currently this is compatible with the original bed, motors, and power supply. While the frame is different, that was a choice I made because the original frame really doesn't allow for an enclosed CoreXY design.
