Custom embroidery on some Richardson 112 hats using the MT-1501 from Ricoma. 

Damn son! Gotta say, this piece of engineering does a crazy detailed and perfect stitch. Love the look of embroidery even on top of a normal print to accent pieces. Been watching you since the start and actually makes me feel proud how far you've come and all the effort you've put in.. Hope it's paying out for you brother, if not... This is just the beginning. In today's economy it's hard for well known designer names to keep afloat with many declaring bankruptcy.... But seems like yo rolling with the punches and at the VERY least surviving and not giving up. So much respect for you brother! Especially putting so much of your income/profit back into the latest and greatest pieces of equipment. Most small businesses fail within 6 months and over 60% lose money even upto 3yrs in before they become profitable. Got impeccable work effort and genuinely seems like you actually care about the quality you are putting out and all the time enjoying it and learning in real time with your audiences how these machines work. Really respect that you are humble and able to admit you don't have a god damn clue how this or that works but are reading up and doing training courses. Just wanted you to know you've inspired me into trying to get my life back on track after nearly 15yrs of heroin addiction (since 17) and seeing you do what you has really made me realise I'm not too late to change and can be successful, not even financially, but sober living and a healthy worth attitude, the money will come after. Chase your passion and what makes you want to get up at 5am and work 12hrs and someone will notice your dedication and enthusiasm and that's where you make contacts and network! Then you can finally appreciate your financial income knowing you did it all on your own. Keep your head up my man and much peace and love from the UK ✌️

You’re doing great! You picked up on the Embroidery easily

Interesting. You didn't use water or steam...or pull down hard while hooping (as shown by ricoma) and yet yours come out just fine....I think that's part of what makes learning these machines so confusing is there is so much variability in how people do things and what works for one, doesn't work for another. This leads me to believe we as individuals learning our machines need to try ALL the techniques to find out which one works for us!

Awesome video and very helpful.. what size needle did you use for the Richardson 112 hats? 80/12 or 90/14?

is there a particular needle size you use for richardson hats?

For hats have files set to sew bottom center out

What size needles are you using on your caps?

I noticed you don't clip the back of the hat to the hoop. Do you have more issues when you do? Curious why you don't. Have you printed on sides of hats yet?

I'm having all kinds of problems running 112s needle breaks thread breaks can any tips ?

Why no stabilizer?
