I don’t usually comment on guitar videos, none really stand out to me. This guitar really has some interesting timbres….the pick is heard following through. It has that sweet single coil as well…my guitar is a one of a kind, Larry Robinson did a little video on the neck work…..this guitar would hold up in all ways, probably sounds better. I am impressed.

The video before this one the guy built an amazing guitar. But did it all with a CNC router. Hard to get too excited about that. But this! I hope you are independently wealthy. You'll go broke working this hard. I know, I used to build totally by hand too. You have my respect. Gorgeous guitar.

Secondarily, I normally would mute background tracks to videos like this...but when I realized it was an extended Watchtower jam, I actually had to pull a guitar out, crank the video through my stereo, and jam along. I have been building an electric guitar a little here and there and have been feeling about tired of all the care needed..... until the beauty of a guitar preceeded this video on the neck... for that........... thanks ! I,m jazzed again.! Also having never played an electric guitar and owning no " templates " I have to get all the info from RU-vid. My neighbor got a new chair and was about to throw out the large box it had arrived in.... 3part ply about 1/4 thick , and I got inspiried because it had a million knots lined up in almost perfect order. I have always admired arched top guitars and thats what I am building..... theoretically . LOL I have made the neck , ( again using whatever I can find on the property ) and after some tough digging I discovered a dead oak tree with about 25 " of burl alongsideone place....yep , managed to end with 1/4" fretboard , frets cut in and still attempting to put some MOP inlay on it. Whew.... I always wanted to build an electric guitar and now at nearly 66 I am gonna do it. Thanks for the details and again for the dude that is seriously rockin it !

I'm just stunned. This is my complete set up. You cant imagine how specifically helpful this is lol. Id you ever need anything for your shopsmith especially the weird little random parts let me know. If I have one its yours. We may have to work shipping out but im just so grateful for the cheat codes and fantastic entertainment.

Those Shopsmiths are amazing. My dad had the mark 5 version and it could do anything you needed to build a guitar. Wish I could afford one.

Great instrument, I very much prefer the Alembic / Carvin hippie sandwich way of building. +1 for using Shopsmith. +2 for having the rare planer and overarm router. I've been looking for those in the Southern USA for years. If you had a Sawsmtih RAS my head was gonna explode. Excellent guitar playing too.

Did we just watch this man hand plane a compound neck radius in a couple of minutes? I didn't know that was possible. He must have made hundreds of guitars. Impressive skills sir. I wish I had a quarter of your ability. He gets great results using a flashlight to apply his finish at night in his garage. My compliments.

I hope people understand the skill needed to do what you do. Hand tools are much harder to use "free hand" than the use of jigs and cnc. Very impressive. Subscribed and I crushed the Like button.

This is one of, if not the classiest, precision builds I think I’ve seen on RU-vid. The choice of woods compliment so well. It’s also obvious that the neck and fretboard are perfectly crafted which allowed for a perfect setup. Oh and it sounds awesome which is the most important part. Great playing BTW!👍
