Why prime out of a can vs HVLP? Just time and cost? Gonna be doing my own paint soon, just looking for tips to make it a bit easier on myself... Paint looks good, bike came out good too. Keep up the content. Maybe look into doing a performance bagger build next!

Neat video. I’m not a paint guy, but I also notice you using a rattle can with in feet of painted cars. Are you scared of overspray, or is it in line to get repainted? Also, why do you sand in the booth? I would think that it would contribute in contaminating the booth (even though you wet the floor)?

You are correct. That car is in the line up so no worries on overspray. And the sanding is just a little 3m scotch pad that doesn’t cause much dust at all so spraying everything down takes care of it. Good questions, though! We appreciate it.

The best clear coat that you can get is the "OH MY" 2k clear from BuyCustomPaint.com. A HS clear that's really easy to spray with a high gloss, and doesnt require cutting or buffing and the small kits start at $30..... Definitely worth checking out...good video
