Oven cleaner removes chrome? For years I've been meticulously scrubbing it off with Ajax and a damp toothbrush. Thank you for the tip! Beautiful truck! 👍
HAHA i had the same issue with chrome and i generally dislike the chrome, it never fits with what i have in mind of a good looking car. thanks for the positive feedback. I appreciate it a lot.
Thanks😁 the oven cleaner only removes chrome. If the chrome was applied on white, grey or cream the plastic will turn to the casted colour. In that case you can just spray the plastic to any colour you want. The removal of chrome gives a much better surface to spray since the colour generally dont stick to well on the chrome pieces
Badass build. I've always used Westleys white wall cleaner on my chrome removal. I've only built model kits and restored them I haven't tried my luck at repainting hot wheels yet. What are you using to strip the body itself?
Bro..You..Outlaw Speed Shop an Diecast Grave yard inspired me to take up this Hobby...I was into model cars until I came across your vids...I got started a few months back an I'm in the middle of doing the 71 El Camino an I'm in the process of finishing the roll cage the inside is done an now I'm stuck on how to finish it any tips or build one....
Thank you. You should give it a go. It is really a nice hobby. In the beginning it might feel like it is impossible to achieve the level of work done by others. But the progression in doing your own work will soon pay off and you will achieve great builds😁 have fun my friend and you can ask questions any time. The best way is to send pm on Instagram. Have fun🤘
@@diecastcustoms8512 Bro I have almost 21 Hot Wheels I gotta do an your talent is just amazing...my roll cage in the 71 Else Camino has stunned...I cud go thru the back glass.would you recommend it...
Thanks man. It will definitely be a nice touch. Just be careful when going through glass. It is a vital part of your casting and if you make mistakes it cant be fixed on the windows. On the other hand. It is a $1 car. If you did a painting on canvas it would cost more then a dollar. Always try and if you fail. You learn😁🤘
@@diecastcustoms8512 I can think of a few, umm, more colourfull, more fitting words to accurately describe it,can't you?🤔 Where exactly are you? I just GOTTA meet you! The things you could teach me,I'll bet! Just a few questions,if you wouldn't mind: - Where do you get the tubing from? What do you use to close the cars back up? The tiny little 2-56 button head screws? If so,where can I source them locally? If something else, what? What do you use to strip the paint with? Can you recommend anything to SAFELY remove tampos, without affecting the underlying paint AT ALL? If I ain't being to forward,is there anyway to contact you,for advice? (Just starting out, but, just watching ALL the guys videos has made me an expert, theoretically anyway. I bypassed alot of the experimenting stage, almost altogether. But you gotta teach me how to drill out those damned posts & then pry the base off WITHOUT damaging the original paint on the cars or bending the axles! You won't believe how long it takes me)😒
Hi. Thanks for the compliment. Currently I dont sell customs. I first need to figure out how to do the packaging to ensure the models reach the buyer in one piece😅
I've said it before,& I'm gonna say it again: - I abso-frikkin'-lutely hate how easy all you guys make it look drilling out those damned posts❗😒 I can tell you for a fact,it's anything but❗
@@diecastcustoms8512 3 whole minutes, wow! & you're complaining about 3 lousy minutes? A fraction, literally a fraction of the time it takes me! So far,I've done about 15 or 20. Just drilling out the posts,I mean.
