TImeRider has invited the community to join him in a Bone Shaker build event - Bone Shaker 3. Ever since seeing Keith’s build of a mashup of a Hot Wheels Science Friction and a Mill Mill casting over on his Outlaw Speed Shop RU-vid channel, I’ve wanted to do something similar with a Bone Shaker. Now I’ve finally done it! #hotwheels #boneshaker #grinch #boneshaker3

A car builder needs to build a 1:1 scale version of this and debut it at a SEMA show, and invite you when it happens (if it does). Wonderful work.

Thanks so much Andrew! This one was in my mind a LOT longer than it was on my bench...and I got lucky and the build wasn't nearly as tough as I had imagined it to be lol...and it turned out as I hoped it would.

Thanks so much Jimmy! The engine had so much detail built into it that it was a blast making it pop. I was really happy to stumble across the Grinch decals as I really had no definite idea what direction the paint was going to take.

Nice Jim. I love the Bone Shaker. It’s the only unlicensed casting I collect. The Batman 5 pack version with The Joker’s head on the front instead of a skull is a favourite.

Thanks Martin! It's almost like the two castings were made to fit together - merging the two was the easy part lol Closing off that front end of the Bone Shaker was the hard part lol

Finally I can comment! I love this mash up. This is how it this casting should have looked to start out. Fabrication and detailing, especially the color, is so spot on. It’s a mean one in all the best ways… thanks so much for the build and video!

I think the idea that you can take the model apart and put it back together again like a classic Hot Wheels is very good. It also seems robust even though it is a custom model. The engine details turned out great, as did the entire concept. Greetings

The rear end of Mid Mill eventually became the rear end of Tomb Up, so if you run out of Mid Mills you can always use one of those for the rear end. That finished product looks amazing. Bone Shaker is one of my all time fav castings. I have a Mid Mill First Edition, and a bunch of Tomb Ups. That green shade you used pops perfectly with the grinch decals.

I know what you mean about the wing - it actually did cross my mind during the build...but I couldn't figure out a way (at least with my current skill set) to do it without it somehow looking patched on or silly. LOL yep...I started getting "serious" about getting the channel in front of people around last October if I remember correctly. Since then, I spend quite a bit of each day on it and have been pretty successful at expanding the worldwide reach (my outside the U.S. numbers have risen amazingly). Thanks my friend!
