Awesome "fleetside" GMC pickup!! I have been wanting to do this for awhile now, but have been unable to track down the right casting. The painting technique using a cotton swab was really cool, I will have to try it myself. Very nice rusty patina, nice to see you branching out and trying different styles. Great stuff, thanks for sharing, and keep on keeping on!!

Thanks Earl. This is a casting that would do so nice in a mainline or car culture. Hopefully someone at mattel see the video😁 grab a few sponges and cotton swabs and try it on a old stripped casting. It gets messy soon and the first few times you overdo it but I still want to master the technique. It is fun to see it evolve on the car🤘😁 stay safe brother.

Just a thought, but you could have used the back end of the part you cut off to finish the cab and have the rear window already made for you and shaped apropriately.

Hi. Not a bad thought. For projects in the past I used that technique. For this specific build the GMC have a really small piece behind the cockpit and if I reused the rear piece the window would not fit. That is why i used the thin material to win some space.😁🤘 but what you say is right. In 90% of builds that would be a way easier method.

Truly amazing!!! This GMC turned out awesome in every sense of the word. Your videos are so relaxing to watch. I'm working on a collaboration build with Nero62 custom diecast. We are turning old school muscle into Nascar. Don't know how long it will take so we don't have a release date yet. Hope all is well with you and your family. Take care and stay safe my friend.

Over all it turned out good. Just opinion I might have rather seen a GMC on the tailgate instead of Foose. That way it lends to the credibility of the rust patina and also Foose is not known for this type of customizing. But that's nitpicking, you did a good job on it.

Thank you. Your nitpicking is really good feedback. I agree fully. I dont have a printer and the decals would arrive to late for the build. But i didnt think about foose like that. He is more of a show quality hotrot guy. This is more a gas monkey kind of build where they clear coat a patina😁🤘
