Awesome work! How did you determine the downward angle of the headstock? Was this mostly based on the wood dpeth, or do you have some minimum angle you always try to hit? And the volute, any specific thinking about it's size, carving it, etc?

Why not to fill the entire fretboard with epoxy an then as it cures cut the fret slots ? Just not to mess up with fret slot masking etc

Usually I try to make them 3 inches tall by 2.5 wide, that way I can accommodate 2 necks out of one blank with minimal waste. They are pretty long though.

Thank you! Hipshot bridge doesn't require any neck angle, so yes, it is straight. Headstock is at 11 degrees.

What dimensions do you normally aim for in order to make 2 necks from one laminate block?

Depending on the guitar, the biggest was I think 52 inch long 2.75x2.75 roughly

@@victumguitars5821 ah interesting, thank your for responding! I was curious to do something like that to avoid wasting so much wood, but I cant decide on the best way to lay it out. It sounds like you making it long enough so that the headstock portion overlaps which probably makes the most sense. That’d be cool to see if you ever decide to include that in another video! Watching this one was great as well!
