I got the dtnvs v2 (mg) with 16mm echo's and they are nice! Coming from a high spec L3 harris im satisfied about the performance. + The size and weight of the V2 for my booniehat is awesome
Another dope ass informative video. It’s going to be hilarious when someone takes Kevin up on the offer for a video in his skivvies doing shit with panos. Noticed the label on that PVS-14. You finally get CNV badging? I’ll slap one on mine. Gots to represent. Aloha 🤙🏽
I turned on notifications just so I can be notified when the no pants pano video drops. But in all seriousness I think a video on the Argus or other alternative panos plus the classic l3 one would be cool to watch
Great video! One thing I thought I’d mention is katanas (and I believe tantos) don’t have ip68 rating so not as water/dust/shock proof as some of the other offerings, something to consider if you do night schenanigans around water. That being said I’d love a tanto as a light weight handheld and for camera work like you said!
Did i miss the 1431s? I didnt see them. Also would like to hear about 31Ds. Great video, thanks for all the content you guys put out. Its always funny and not dry, but still very informative.
Having the AGM NVG40 in the comparison but not the 1431 mk2 is criminal :'( What did L3 to you guys? Did they really "contacted" you because of the 1431? I mean it's one of the best housing options on the market.
im not at liberty to discuss but the decision was made to move away from it, and it had nothing to do with the products quality or how much we liked it.
Only thing that I can see that was missed honestly was the Jerry line, however to my understanding that is in uncertain waters in regards to potential sanctions being placed against infraray/iray, even though when looked through the scope of the US market they would be sitting next to those AGM NVG40’s Apart from that it’s a solid vid lad, all the best from 🏴
I wish we could buy a single MH-1 pod at a time. I want that manual gain, weight savings, and the ability to pann, but can't afford to buy the whole system at once.
@kevin11288 Yeah I've got $3k saved so far in my personal fund after about a year and a half. My wife isn't on board with any night vision purchase, so I can't use some of our $13k in savings and have to use my personal "fun money" fund that only goes up $150/month max.
I noticed no warranty with the DTNVS housings? I think on your website you have something like 2 years from act in black or something like that if I’m not mistaken?
Fear monger marketing is lame. If you are in the biz of selling Chinese tech you should probably read the actual bill against chicom drones. No consumer drones are being banned. Details matter, Go actually read and stop spreading nonsense.
@@customnightvision agreed on all or certainly most regulations this one included. The biggest danger of this one is mission creep but it isn’t a ban on consumer drones it is targeting.gov agencies and contractors that serve them.
Started with the AGM 40 with GP Elbit tubes haha, they weren't terrible I could see in the dark! Got an MH-1 now with some decent Echo+ tubes, bought them like a month before the high gains dropped 🥲
@@kevin11288 don't think the high gain tunes are worth getting? I would genuinely like to know your opinion on them, I would like US tubes, but at the price point, with gain now at and past some Gen 3 tubes along with better contrast, high light resolution, and more durable in terms of burning, and I know out of band capabilities really aren't a huge benefit but Photonis has it, what would be worth the extra couple thousand dollars? I know the GAAS tubes have a few thousand more hours of like typically than the multi alkaline tubes but other than that? US tubes would be cool, but again with the high gain tubes achieving around the same gain value as L3 tubes, I am hard pressed to spend the extra money I had some GP Elbits before and the were a little brighter than my Echo+ tubes, but I do strongly prefer the image of the Echoes, granted the Echoes are higher spec than the Elbits were outside of gain.
@@kevin11288 I don't work with intensifier tubes daily, I know what I've read and seen in videos, I'm more than willing to learn so of there's something I missed or overlooked please let me know, that's why I said I genuinely want to know your opinion of them, I haven't looked through them just seen the videos so if you got something I'd love to hear it! Minds are capable of changing
@@kevin11288 I have an idea of what I'd like, but I also don't work with intensifier tubes on a daily basis, I only know what I've read, and seen on videos. That's why I said I'd like to know your opinion, I have no problem listening to a more educated and experienced opinion, in fact I'd like too. Minds are capable of changing, and mine isn't dead set, I'm just trying to not become dead from my wife haha
