Custom Retrofit Headlights For The Diesel Swapped Toyota Truck

Nice, clean, missing my 03 4 runner and that 4.0, 267,000 miles, but it struggled to pull my 17’ enclosed trailer, Oil looked fresh at 5,000 mile oil changes. One tough vehicle, also had 4 tacomas, 2.7, 3.0. 2- 4.0s. Never a problem.Now a 2019, 6.2 F 250, time will tell.

Great job on those headlights ! You must have spent many hours researching the right parts to make everything fit together as well as they do, cudo's to you. They look awesome and produce more light than I expected !!! I also like the amber turn indicator portion of the headlight, that's cool.

I wish the projector install on my Ford was that easy, I had to chop the hell out of the backs of the housings to get them to fit. The side markers and halos with flash differently since they have different driver circuits built into them. I have the same issue and there isn't anything you can do about it, unless you could get both lights from the same brand, and even then there is no guarantee.

Not everyone like style of headlights, but love your build, nice work mate. Hope to see more.

Very very sharp... the headlights and grill all together just really looks great. All around just a sharp looking truck. I really like the bed you built. I can see adding little things to it already lol. But it is just a great looking truck and you haven't even put the other tires and wheels back on it lol...that will just be another wow factor... I really enjoy the fact, and it shows that you are meticulous in your work. Those little extra steps are what sets a good job apart to become a great job.

10:40 the first few hid retrofits I've done had some sag after a while, even after fixing the nut behind, what worked was fixing a small piece of plexi underneath the projector to fix the position vertically before tightening the rear nut. Hope these don't sag over time otherwise you will run out of adjustment with the adjuster bolts

Love it. Actually I loved it so much I'm going to copy that exact retro fit for my 2000 dodge ram van 1500. Hope you can share links for those parts (all except the housings cuz I dont own a toyota pickup). Great builds man! I love both pickups so far. Maybe I do also something like your flat bed for my 2001 nissan pickup too. And some plate bumpers also. I'll share updates as I progress on those builds.

You should add a small amount of tint to the headlight housings. It'd make it look really nice and the lights are bright enough it won't really affect driving at all. Not like black but just a "smoked" headlight look

Since the toyota build cant go on forever next build i would love to see a decent horsepower alh build the truck makes good power but maby even more i know you could fab up some piping for a custom compound setup😏 then put it in a light car like a golf

Looks so dang good !!!!!! What i woulda reccomended was hooking the halo to your parking lights so they are on without the headlights

On the shrouds did you paint them or did you buy them black?

Where did you get the wiring harness for the halos to make the turn signals and day time running lights work? Or does it come with the halos?

In the past I've used oven cleaner to pull the chrome coating off plastic before painting or dyeing

They are phenomenal and I don’t know about you but you could make some serious money just putting halos in peoples lights like that and I wish they where a solid red to cause it would look aggressive but that’s my opinion and your truck but all in all you put a lot of time and deserve to do whatever you want it’s perfect
