Never be ashamed of your price Allen. Skilled labour ain't cheap and cheap labour ain't skilled! These smokers are the real deal and are worth more than your selling them for! Watching you work is like poetry in motion!
That is one awesome reverse flow smoker Allen. Your price point is about right, plus shipping of course. Don't forget to put your maker's mark or data plate on them. Cheers!
Allen on your double door latchs Think it would be simple enough to make a single handle to a linkage that operates double latch Dont be afraid to ask a fair price for your labor $1500 for that bar b q is a bargain Take your price of material and double it Thats a fair price you have lots of consumables and tooling that requires maintenance you need to pay yourself and be able to put some money away Your work sells it self good luck
Just got done with my own build, 80 gallon reverse flow with a 20”x20” fire box out of 1/4” material. After doing it and seeing what it costed I honestly do not see how you can sell that for $1350. Do you make any money on these things? Retail on a name brand cooler of that size and quality is gonna be $3000
Top notch work as everything you do is! $ 1300 is less then I would expect to pay for this kind of quality, fit and finish. Well done, thank you for the time you invest in making videos!
A smoker like that around my area would fetch about $1800-2000. I like in a rural area and old oil drum pig cookers go for about $1200-1300. They are 200 gallon tanks cut and welded to have a lid with a door. They are fueled by wood coals so they aren't plumbed for propane. They are trailers though, but most are old rebuilt trailer axles from a farm welded underneath. I don't know your area, but your price seems low, even for my area. Good luck out there!
Hey Allen how much would it be to make this with Santa Maria and Rotesstri with grease channel also with the option of regular grilling and water pan in horizontal and vertical with 2” drains main chamber 48” with ash pans log lighter5 gauges 3 horizontally and 2 vertical wider stainless shelf, on the vertical smoker can I get slap shut handles with locks all in 1/4 “ steel firebox in 1/2” I live in Delaware for winter use but if u think it doesn’t need it that’s fine also like the birdhouse style vent caps
Hey allen it too bad your steel supply gets steel imported. My local shop buys from nearby steel plates. In pa oh Illinois. I pay 6.00 per square foot for a 4x8 3/16 plate. My prices dont change much. More and more sleeping steel plants are waking up and hiring like crazy
Some people just don't understand that steel prices go up so price goes up. Try to explain that to people and they just cry n complain oh that's too much I be like I gotta make money too. Like the build Allen keep up the awesome fabrication n welding get yo money my boy.
Hey why don't you put a simple linkage on the inside so both handles act as one and you can use your elbow to open it while holding a plate of meat or bucket of mop sauce ?

Bro if I were close to you I would go and buy this... excellent work!
Every time I see one you're adding more refinements and features. Great product at a great price. Anyone would be lucky to own a lifetime piece like this.
One other thing yes a makers mark but also start putting a serial number so you know exactly how many of these things you been making Some day your son is going to want to start helping and you can start paying him
You make it look so easy that people think you can crank one out in a few hours. I'm guessing it takes you more like 3-4 full days? Having done it I can attest that's a really good price for the labor let alone the steel and components.
I'm working my way through your playlist and I'm surprised at the prices you were and are now charging . As I'm going through these I'm looking at them and to be totally honest how you make them and bearing in mind your outside in your back yard by the looks of it , these are the better side of amazing . The selection of videos just shows how much work you put into these and there is no way these are going to rot out anytime soon . Steel prices are high at the moment but even with this video being April 2018 that's still a cheap price for then . If I was stateside I'd look you out for mine , keep making the smokers burners and pits and remember you sell a great product and the price should reflect that . Thanks for the videos really do enjoy the builds and how you do the explanation and why
Its great to see someone be them self and showcase what talent they possess! I recently built my own and will never buy another CHINESE rust bucket again! Great video and great work my brother!!!
Beautiful. How is it possible to smoke in the upright AND grill in the main chamber at the same time? It would be GREAT to smoke and grill at the same time! I've watched this video several times and I don't see how its possible. Also, what's the price of this smoker today?
Caught up to finally to comment like you said. You smoke most I've known, a lone!Wow, shit. You're precise every move counts others probably slow you down aside from young buck. Great smoker grills I'm tired now later, j
Awesome..... I've built 3 out of tanks and I "steel" ideas for the new ones I make ;-)...… love the burner on the side, that's a great idea ! I'm getting ready to build another so I'm back...lol Hope you sell many of these..... they are definitely well built !
Amazing skills, you are good brother. The price of this puppy, here in Canada, wouldn't be any lower than 3 or 4000 bucks. I'm sure we all have seen some pieces of crap in stores for way more that you are charging.Don't forget to put your name on this pieces of art,the world must know who made them. Cheers from Toronto amigo.
Awesome work I've watched your channel from the start and yes you have a great skill there keep making your product you have a great talent. Warren White. New Bern NC,
Allen, keep up the great videos. I have learned a lot from watching them. I just recently finnished building a reverse flow smoker out of a 100 lbs propane tank. You would be proud to say that I learned most of the how to short cuts from you. Great looking grill and works flawlessly
Hello Mr. ALLEN, I have a homemade pig cooker that I had a fire box with a warmer box. On the main cooker I have two smoke stacks and two thermostats, when the heat comes in from the fire box 50 degrees hotter than the far end. Do you think it's because I have that first stack open as well as the one on the far end.
That is a good price for that smoker. Mount it on a trailer, and you have the making of a complete BBQ catering rig. Just add you a sink a good stereo system so you can have some bluegrass or maybe college football in the fall.
Great videos, super nice work on the grills and smokers. I am a back yard welder and enjoy your build videos along with the welding tips and gear reviews. Thank you.
