I was lucky enough to be able to get hold of some vintage (probably 50s ?) and really cool looking metal carrying cases at an online auction a couple of months ago. I'm not 100% sure what their original purpose was, but I'm guessing they were used for carrying some form of breathing equipment.
Since I'm currently building a couple of3D printed hexapod robots that I am planning to display at our local maker faire in August, I thought it would be a good idea to create custom transport cases for them, so that they would be less likely to get damaged during transport.
Soo... - I decided to give ‪@ShadowFoam‬ a try :)
If you would like to see the robots live, they will be on display in the Hackheim Makerspace tent at our local maker faire (Trondheim Skaperfestival) that is being held in Trondheim City Center at August 30-31.
