The Gibraltar Custom Shop Makeover is a series where drummers send in pictures and video of their kit, and Brent chooses one to do a complete hardware makeover using Gibraltar. Brent shows different ways Gibraltar can be used to solve problems, achieve a desired look, and be efficient for each drummer. In this episode, Brent makes over a kit for drummer Nick D’Virgilio. Nick is using a 7 piece Ludwig kit consisting of; 2 rack toms, 2 floor toms, 1 bass drum, 1 main snare drum, and 1 auxiliary snare drum, with a mounted tambourine. His cymbal set up includes: 4 crash cymbals, 2 splash cymbals, 2 splash stackers, 1 ride cymbal, 2 chinas, and 1 hi hat. His band, Big Big Train, was touring Europe, and he needed a rack set up to help him not only simplify his set up and tear down, but to increase his stage presence and make his performance more visually impressive.
