Hey Dave I only recently subscribed. Been practicing in Iracing for weeks and I gotta say you have helped me tremendously. Finally worked up the courage to do my very first race ever. It was MX5 at Laguna Seca. At midnight so about an hour ago, I went ahead and decided to qualify thinking I would end up at the back of the pack but damed if I didn’t qualify 3rd, This made me very tense to say the least. I credit you and all your tips given and Very happy to report A 3rd place podium finish In my first race ever. Even led for 4 laps and better believe I saved the replay. Great content and Ive definitely been bitten by the racing bug. Thanks again

This just reminded me I have about 5 pounds of chopped carbon fiber left from another project and that will work perfectly for a forged carbon button box plate!

Hi Dave , great review. I would add that the button box moves a bit because of the long screws you used to get it further from the rig. Also this model is the most expensive because it’s all made in carbon fiber. In the product range there are cheaper models. Cheers

Dave I've got the same SRH dashboard you used to use, love it. Do you know you can buy just the Fanatec mounting plate from SRH and swap the boxes over yourself? If you still have the dashboard tucked away somewhere, might be something for you?

Great looking button box but looks like the rotary switches are close to the 2 buttons above wonder if they would get in the way trying to adjust mid race? Also don't under stand why they don't use momentary toggle switch rather than off on 🤷‍♂️. Another great video 👍

Curious of why you currently prefer the McLaren wheel over all the expensive wheels you have? Been looking at the McLaren for some time now. Currently using the cubecontrol f1 pro.

It's a size thing. I also have the Cube Formula Pro on the other rig. Brilliant rims, just a little too small.

Why not have one large knob for brake bias... good luck trying to loosen the DD1 lock ring now thought it appears, and lastly a dimmer would be nice. Other than that, excellent!

I personally think DIY is the best option for button boxes especially on wish for a €100,- you can make 2 boxes

Mine arrived today. Probably overspent on a button box. However, as Dave Cam famously says “nice things don’t come cheap” Mrs bigfish sim racing wasn’t too impressed with you Dave 😅

The button boxes I have for flight sims were about the same price as these and they were made with metal. Not a fan of plastic.

Hi, our button boxes are made of 5mm thick real carbon fiber. Now we have improved our products alsa with the back of the box in carbon fiber

Good review Dave, but well overpriced for the amount of buttons / switches / rotaries etc.. There are cheaper options with more functions that still look great..Its a pass from me..

There are definitely cheaper options. Not many though that can be fixed to the wheel base and made with premium materials.

@@AlessandroGherardi This product can only be fitted to "Fanatec" products at the moment, so not very versatile. You can justify the price however you want, id rather more functionality and adaptability to other wheelbases / setups. Im also capable of figuring out a mounting solution if i want it mounted to my wheelbase or rig.
