This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! So it’s straight piped from the cat what size did they use? And then it goes to the resonator to a single exit correct?
From the resonator back is 2.5 inch piping, so yeah it’s a straight pipe from there! The install is also on the channel which shows you the full setup. The resonator I used is linked in the description as well
That’s crazy guys I did the same thing to my car just did not this single exhaust. I did the two singles coming out and it sounds really good. I saw the video I had to look for some people who did it just to see you and I found this video.
Just got a 2014 GT and I was looking for the best exhaust solution. IMO, the best is keeping the resonator and doing fatback straight pipes. I will be retaining the dual style though.
finally a person with a mazda 6 who straight piped, this is exactly what I want. but did you have to buy the piping as well? and how much did it all cost?
@@abc.garage What do you think I was planning on doing a muffler delete and getting a vibrant resonator 2.5 and 4” exhaust tips for mine I originally planned on buying a CBE from corksport but a friend of mine told me to get a muff delete instead.
How made you go from a dual exhaust to a single? I’m trying to start moving my Mazda but it’s hard to find parts i want and what I’m looking for exactly
I’m thinking bout doing this to my Mazda 6 2017 I’m just scared to pull the trigger, is it worth doing this to a Mazda? Lmk cause I’m debating if I want it or not

On my 6 I did a vibrant 1792 res with a flowmaster super 10 going into dual exhaust. Kept the stock 2.25 inch piping. Your 6 sounds pretty similar to mine. My 6 is awfully loud with a flow master super 10 I can’t imagine no muffler and 2.5 inch piping must be pretty crazy. The drone must be insane. You should try a intake(AEM or injen corksport intake is trash and to small it starves the 2.5 of air) Intake helps a lot with the interior sound with the windows up. You get that iconic loud raspy Japanese i4 intake sound that mixed with the exhaust note makes a wonderful noise.
Does your exhaust set up produce any pops? Mine doesn’t the only time it popped was when I was running late for work one time it was cold outside and I had to take a left out of my neighborhood across busy traffic I didn’t have enough time to wait for a big opening so I gunned it even tho the motor was cold and still running rich so when it shifted into 2nd it crackled so loud it vibrated my whole car lol. Sounded like a DSG fart but way louder.
