Sorry you're having issues. Welcome to the new world we live in. The chances, these days, of finding someone who gives a F#&*K about their job AND your project is slim and none.....
Chris and Bec, yours are some of my favorite videos. I would be excited too if this were my Jeep. The build is off the charts but the two of you make it what it is and that’s amazing! Keep’m coming! I posted to Brittany and Kevin early on how blessed they were to have Chris. Bec, I feel the same way about you. You guys rock!!!
Even with your time restrictions (if any), I would send the frame and any other parts with rough areas and have them re-done. At their expense! No question, they should do that for you.
I think my favorite part of this channel is you two building stuff in the shop. You need your own channel with a weekly upload of just projects. This LJ is bad ass! Wish I was doing EJS this year to see it.
WOW! That chassis is Stunning! The colors are great together! Fantastic build. All the little touches really stand out. Too bad about the powder- “Never enough time to get it right, but always enough time to do it over,” Teamwork made this Dream Work. Love how Chris always finds a way to fix problems. And Kevin makes a Cameo! LiteBriteNationBuffBronzBeauties!
Man, those powder coaters dropped the ball big time. I had a hole in the wall shop sand blast an axle, and they didn’t even want me to pick it up while it was snowing / made sure I had covered transport so it wouldn’t get surface rust. They did a great job and only charged $50.
Wow, just WOW! That thing pops. We all saw the amount of detail work you two put into getting that frame as close to perfection as possible and have it treated the way it was by the power coaters was heart breaking. You handled it better than I would have. It still looks awesome. Can't wait to see it on the trails. Much respect.
Well he didn’t have his hat on is what I am saying. Becca after you scratch it the first time it will be all better. But it is looking a little like a SEMA Jeep.
Bec & Chris are the ultimate team !! Such attention to detail is admirable…. Great job 👏🏼 you guys !! Ps.. side note .. Bec’s ability to constantly look so physically in shape … also a testament in her drive .. not easy , by no stretch … love the content 🤟 light bright ❤
It's looking like a masterpiece full of custom details and built to crawl. Love the build and all the fab work that was involved, very inspiring for everyone. Bravo Zulu to you both.
If I was you guys I would definitely never go to that shop again for powder coat. At least they were willing to fix things. The build is absolutely insane. Like every single detail has been gone through and checked over and made convenient to the ones building. Are we going to get a cost breakdown? Just total cost really. Because I can imagine it’s way way up there!
They won't name names because that would only encourage 200K "keyboard warriors" here to blow up phones because they are under the impression they are helping.
Bec I'm most impressed by how far you have come in this build, I don't doubt Chris has been a brilliant coach and has moved you along, but you deserve credit for your achievement 😗🤗
I am Absolutely Loving This Build Series, So looking forward to seeing the Finished product, Chris you're Amazing brother and Bec you too are Amazing and You are beautiful girl So so Glad you guy's are apart of The Lite Brite Nation Team 😘😘😘😘 Love from The Land Down Under 😘 😘 xox
I really like the adventure videos. They’re really fun. Last Sunday I was hoping for these build videos and got an adventure one. So I was stoked when we got a shop build video today. I’m excited to see it completely done.
Sorry to hear you’re pain .hope you got you’re powder for a huge discount .I would of snapped .oh well hurry up you two .I wanna see it .!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️.going to be sweet .
@@dougmoore5923 She’s a drug fraud body. Like many of the “CrossFit Chicks”. It’s sad to see them willing to put hormones, peptides and anything in their bodies to achieve that “aesthetic”. The worst fraud is to have young girls look up to them and think that they can attain that physique naturally. Or what it does to their female anatomy. Do some research on that one.
3 questions... 1. How much can Bec bench-press? 2. Can she bench-press more than Chris? 3. Can she bench-press more than Kevin? No answer necessary, but just wonderin'. She definitely does a great job taking care of herself. Oh, maybe she can bench-press Chris??
I am inquiring about some Coil Over and Bypass Shocks Build Kit for JKU 2012 Wrangler I love the LJ Jeep Build that you did how do I get part numbers to purchase and Tuning them.
I had a coater F up a vintage BMW bike I built. Huge pita to fix. After that, I literally started my own powder coating. Only limited by my oven and I pay attention to detail. Your guy SUCKS. Now I do all my and my friends build parts, etc. lovin this Jeep and your guys team work.
WOW, it looks so good, I totally dig all your attention to detail with the colors, it's amazing, my favorite part is that you and Chris did such an epically GREAT job with it. What is REALLY wrong AF is that you had to make SO MANY corrections for the inadequate and total NEANDERTHAL powder coating work obviously done by an inept troglodyte crew. You said it's hard when you pump out so much work, you know what's hard, when your business is closed because your work is sketchy as Fk and you make customers fix your pathetic lack of integrity. AWESOME Karma out to you and Chris, it's totally GREAT because you and Chris spent the extra time, love it y'all 🤘😁
After over 25 years in the Harley buisness, as a mechanic/fabricator/builder, I will tell you that A) powdercoating is WAY over rated, and B) if you think painters are trainwrecks, just wait until you deal with powdercoaters.......🤦
Hello, why an LS instead of a Hemi, if I may ask? I’m just curious is all. Thanks, love y’all’s work!!! I’m so impressed with the build, I’m actually speechless !!!!
Execellent! Wow it looks allot better then I though it would. I built almost stock and spend $35K you guys problaby have more than $150K. Please let me know if I am off track. Thanks, Juan
What pro is doing the custom shock tuning? That is an art in itself. Learned that from running Custom Axis triple rates. May want to go to “triple rate” different rated springs to make shock tuning easier. You got to get within 250 lbs tuned weight per tire of entire vehicle to achieve optimum damping. With No ! Top outs..
Please tell me you are moving on to another powder coater! That guy F-up damn near every part! Crap happens but that is just crap. If your paying for a service, " Im busy" is NOT an excuse for crappy quality.
In art school we would call that color a "warm" grey. It picks up the cool blue tones and/or warm red tones of its surroundings. I think That is a fantastic color choice. Kudos!
Why did you chose the wrong year transmission to go behind the LS?? The later version has several upgrades including a larger TC to keep it from overheating. Its also missing the top bolt. If you where going to be stuck with the 4L60e, why not get the 4L65e with more planetary gears? The one you have is an early version. The later versions were specifically made for the LS motor.
Looks cool. Sucks the powder Coaster did a less than optimal job. You'd think they would have gone above and beyond for a RU-vid channel to get advertising, but ivecrun into quality control issues with companies and won't advise their products either!
That thing sounds fantastic! I've always really liked the look of these, I'm kind of thinking of replacing my 5th gen 4Runner with one. Kind of hard to let the reliability go, but I'd like something a little different and with more power.
There is no excuse for shoddy workmanship. I'm sure you paid good money for a job done correctly. You really should have held these people accountable. Busy or not, the job should have been done right.
Awesome build! Can’t wait to see it finished! One question- does the driver side exhaust go under the transmission to connect to the passenger exhaust? I couldn’t really tell in the video……….
Powder coating is a farce. Any contamination that is in the metal pores when heated to cure the powder will pop the coating out resembling sun burn blisters. Also, powder isn't very flexible, so areas of high stress will crack and start to peel. You would have been better served to have used a solvent based epoxy primer, then a polyurethane topcoat paint. The gold color on the fasteners is cadmium. It's very corrosion resistant. It's also a carcinogen. The colors you're seeing are an iridescence. Cadmium is an electro-plating process with a final chemical dip.It adds thickness, so when specifying cad plating, you need to watch the tolerance build up for tight fitting surfaces. If you take a razor blade, you can "carve" off some of the cadmium coating. The sum of parts are starting to look like a Jeep again. Congratulations Bec, you're getting there.
Coming from someone who does fab your going to regret doing powder coat on the frame and axles... I use to powder coat in my business and never recommended powdercoat on anything thats gonna see abuse offroad. You can't touch it up once it chips. You can't make any repairs or welds through it. Once its damaged it just looks bad b/c you can't touch it up. Should of used Steel-it on the frame and axles. Its weldable, and also easy to touch up. Its some good stuff. Powercoat is great on a street driven vehicle when you know your 100% know for a fact your done with working on it and no more fab work. With a jeep you will always be welding something or repairing something.
I’ve been very satisfied with the powder coating I’ve had done at Elite Powder Coating on Industrial Rd in St George. Give them a shout if you need work in the future.
I love watching these videos, but I hate ya'll at the same time, cause now I want to tear apart my ZR2 Blazer build and take it to the next level super clean, well thought out and engineered build.... I'm going to need a 3rd job to support this addiction
You can use aircraft jet nuts or K nuts that are yellow/gold and are much shorter height. Super expensive though. I have quite a few that I obtained through govt surplus.
That crap in the threads is blasting media, once it gets damp then baked it’s an absolute bitch to get out. I’ve also previously suffered a shit powder coating company. I feel for you guys, it tarnishes the feel of the whole build.
That's a shame that the Powder Coat Company where such asses, total disregard for professional work, I'd be sure to let people know who to avoid unless they just want cheap work !
Such a pity the powder coater didn’t take as much pride in their work as you guys did. How the owner would even put his name to it baffles me. Guess he doesn’t want to be in business for the long haul. Keep up the great content I enjoy every episode, can’t wait to see the LJ finished.
Yeah, not good when you get poor quality workmanship. At least it sounded like they were trying to make some of it right. And powder coating is not cheap. At least where I live.
This build is over the top. It is perfection. It might be to nice. I am readying myself for the tears when you get your first trail damage from that perfect rock and you cringe. Lol
ok so why didn't you rotate the heim on rear upper CA on frame side? Also this is my favorite build so far. Love the way you two think outside the box!
Boy Bec your a hell of a lot nicer than me , id be flippin out and blasting their name on youtube. See thats why they keep doing it cause they get away with it, hiring lazy non skilled workers instead of paying good people what they are worth ,this is what ya end up with. Being 57 yrs old i can tell ya it was never like this back when i was young , shame ya pay good money for a less than a up to par job , sorry you had this experience ..
