I used the MTASG trick for the first time this weekend building a 6 string cigar box guitar!!! Was using a piece of scrap white oak for the neck which had a taper in it already. The trick was the only way I was able to cut a super tight scarf joint properly in plane. Thanks for all you do, Crimson team! You're an inspiration to all of us the world over!

Very nicely produced… it’s different just watching someone lost in their craft, without trying to explain every step along the way. Although I have yet to attempt to build a guitar myself, I have watched these videos for the past few years and just through repeated viewings I am aware enough of what each step involves, so just being able to watch with music in the background was quite relaxing as well. Thanks for posting and keep ‘em coming!

one thing i can advise (you are a much better luthier than me! I've doing repairs and such for 25 years) 10:45 fold the end of the tape at the corner for faster removal. Saves me tons of time!

Wait - WHAT?😳 How on Earth can Sofia not have known the MTASG? Sofia has been part of the Crimson family for months and months now. Was invited to join because of some already impressive skills and has demonstrated them over and over here. Mind is utterly blown.🤯 I would have thought that part of being allowed through the doors at Crimson would be a demonstration of MTASG. 🤣 Otherwise, the thinline looks amazing already and I love the attention that Sofia brings to every aspect of the guitars that are being worked on.

Love my swanp Ash custom built left handed tele that was built for me in 2001 it is a 60s design tele and I absolutely love it! Slab Ash body and slab maple neck ( desperate for a re fret and it will have stainless steel frets very soon ) its beautifully balanced sounding telecaster but it dosnt have the same punch as a alder telecaster tho it's just very well rounded and I love it! As heavy as my 90s les paul tho at over 5kg!

So nice watching Sophie work. She is always so intentional and precise. Most people go through the motions and get decent results specially if they have been doing something for a long time and get decent results but that reach for perfection in every task is not there any more. Not for Sophie. Reasons like that are why I enjoy watching Gio @Tornelli Guitars and Todd @Sweet T Guitars. All three send me back in time watching my Grand Father working in his shop when I was learning from him. The only difference is they do not shake the building when they whack their head on floor joists or heat vent in the basement being to engrossed in their craft. I do have a question though. Seems to me it would have been more beneficial to drill the cavity wire holes before the top went on. That way specifically in the control cavity you are not drilling over a top risking damage. Thought process?

Curious about why wiring channels were not cut before applying the top...saves a step later and the risk of drilling with a long bit. Nice build!

When I do my bindings I like to tape from top to bottom, I find it holds the binding tighter in the channel

What is the advantage of using masking tape and super glue over say using a good quality double sided tape? Is it that the masking tape comes of the work more cleanly?

I think thats the whole point of Sofia's building on the channel. Its a counter to Ben. Creative, wild, Ben explains everything and cant stop talking. Sofia, quiet, methodical, detailed.

I know this is going to annoy you but stay with me, I'm trying to help. RU-vid does not give a stuff about you or me. They do not give a stuff about comments either. They can tell, we are still watching the video;s and the ads, so, they dont care about your protest ..... at all. RU-vid care about 1 thing. ADVERTISING REVENUE. If you want to protest then the protest must decrease RU-vids advertising revenue. If it does not then they dont care. How to do that, I dont know. Appealing to advertisers to cease advertising probably wont work. Adblocking software is the only angle I can think of. A protest movement that provides updated free ad blocking software and agrees to stop updating the software when demands are met. Good luck
