Is the custom two tone also true for the viking vp5000? How is the scan lookback timers on the vp5000 compared to the nx5000 in analog? I have several nx5000and main complaints is the scsn lookback chop in audio. The three vp6000s do not exhibit the lookback chop in audio in scan is the vp5000 same regarding that?
The custom two tone alerts should be available on the VP5000 as well. I've not played with the 5000s on this specifically though. The VP5000s we have around here are mostly on 800 for our state wide P25 system and don't utilize the tone functionality. Honestly I've not done much the the scan function on the NX5000s but the VPs don't use the lookback settings as the NX does. When I scan with my VP5000 on 80 P25 it doesn't seem to miss a beat. The same is true of the VP8000 when scanning across different bands and modes. Seems to just work.
Custom Two Tone is a thing for the VP5000's. VP5000's also have the same "software" as the VP6000 just in the NX5000 case. So scan lookback "Chop" isn't a thing, although I don't have an NX5000, so I'm not 100% sure as to what it is you're talking about.
