What's up guys! In this video I'm going to be showing you the custom made unequal length headers we made for this 1996 Toyota Camry. We are all genuinely surprised how well these came out so I hope you guys enjoy!
@@morgan123poirier I have a '96 Corolla 1.8 & just recently found headers on ebay (the whole kit with the gaskets, etc) & now want to get custom made headers & make my corolla sound like a subaru lol also I want what a V engine (6, 8, etc) would sound like with UEL headers
6 cylinders with UEL’s sound like garbage, the pontiac/GM 3800 in the late 90’s early 2000’s have UEL’s and sound like absolute trash, especially when compared to the ZZP equalizer setup…
@@sleeper.simulant7327 an inline-5 would sound great. cylinder 1 long, 2 short, 3 long, 4 short and 5 short (numbers are firing order). that way you'd get 1-0-1-0-0, which should sound a little like a v-twin with 45 to 52 degree angle and single crank pin.
Been waiting for someone to actually do this, been told in the Camry community that it'll sound just like a subaru, but I've also read that unequal length headers are not good for power, compared to a 4-2-1 header like I've got. And at only 135 hp, not many people will opt for something that will lead to less lol! Sounds awesome.
This is sick. Finally a solution to make 4 Bangers Toyota's sound good. This is what I'm going to do, I currently have my reasonator deleted I'm running a Megan SN1 muffler at the back.
I just bought a 98 Corolla VE with the 5 speed. Totally tempted to to take the whole stock system off to preserve it incase I sell, and make a set up similar to this. My other car in a JDM Legacy GT-B, so I love the rumble.
You would be shocked, but ive been an accord owner and tbh you dont get much after market parts for the engines mostly other parts. I see it being Civics and certain acura cars that get the most rep for their after market availability
I have an 06 subaru legacy gt which they call the businessmans sti and have modded it and definitely has this kinda sound. Now my 02 outback 2.5 has non uel on it and am about to put some inpreza uel headers on it to make it sound mire subie lmao. I actually used to have a black 96 camry like this and a 91 celica st before it and both were amazingly reliable vehicles but my outback is one I can trust to take me anywhere and being that both my subies are manuals makes it even better. The outback may not be fast but is definitely fun. 👌🏽
Lol my friend has an 06 3.0r legacy wagon, he swapped a manual into it, and one aftermarket exhaust later, sounds like a porshe babbbyyyy, it's hilarious to see people whip their head around trying to find the car making the eargasmig sound and expecting a super car and see a family wagon that has no business sounding that good lol
Where do you get this done? I want to get this done on my 07 accord with a 2.4L I4 but the only issue is that the exhaust manifold is on the rear side of the engine not expose on the front like the camry in this video. Do you think I can get this header made from an exhaust shop?
My brother just subaured his out with all my spare parts. Roof scoop wing and lift kit and it looks like a first gen. Makes Subarus look twice. Header coming next

@@morgan123poirier that makes total sense. Because putting custom UEL header, no cats, even with vibrant performance ultra quiet resonator, without the cat it’s still loud. With cats it helps not only for reduce sound, but also helps clean those exhaust gases. That’s correct?
ik imo it sounds cheezy af, i love it but there needs to be more expirimenting like this, what if all 4 were un-equel length? how many different sounds can you get from the same engine?
If you calculated it right, you could make a "crossplane" header that would time the pulses to sound like a V8 or Yamaha crossplane R1. TBH, I wanna see a UEL made where the center two are paired (same length as each other) but longer than the outer two (that are also paired and the same length as each other) or vice versa.
You can do this to any 4 cylinder, you just need to make the headers unequal. That’s what gives the sound. You need to have them fabricated or possibly look for ones online.
