Love your truck, It brings back a lot of great memories for me. I went to high school 1985 - 1988 and my first vehicle was a Black 1955 late model Chevrolet pick-up like yours, but with a Built 327 from 1968 stingray vet. It would pull the front tires off the ground, but was running wide open at 140mph. Now it would get to that speed really quick even with it still having a clutch with 3 on the collum shifting. I got the truck from mowing yards, stacking hay, any jobs I could find and when I got about $600 of the $1500 saved up my dad surprised me and paid the rest. I would have road the bus to school if I had not worked on getting it on my own. You did not get anything without working for it in those days. Then when I got it I had a lot of restoring to do which I did have to do and pay for all by myself. Would not trade that experience for anything in the world. That's what made it so special, I loved it. Turned heads everywhere I went, was so proud of what I had done. No A/C made for a really hot August ride in Alabama. There was only a couple of 55, one 56, one 57 cars around that small town I grew up in, one 55 chev cars was owned by a boy I went to school with, but there were no 55 Trucks.

Just got a 55 Chevy truck two weeks ago so excited about building my dream truck! Awesome video freaking beautiful truck guys! Killer job

great truck, i have a totally stock original '55 to do in the future, may just be the angle but looks like the rear axle is a little forward but super nice! the bumpers really clean it up too.

I was hoping to find him in the description box can you please provide his website?..i have a 56 gmc truck. that has all the ornate chrome front grille... i think it would look sweet to have the bumper tucked in nice and tight....
