Common in a lot of repos. They think they're getting back at the bank for repossessing their car by ruining it's resale value. Failing to understand that they owe the difference. Crank it up a step and you get the "If I can't have you, no one will" psycho ex mentality.
@matthewbowen5841
@matthewbowen5841 Год назад
When the consequences of his actions weren't paid for by someone else, the car was no longer his in his mind (he would just not pay for it anymore) and thus, like the mental 3 year old he is, he destroyed it because "if I can't have it nobody else can." Fairly easy logic to figure out. He'll go get a Nissan. The refuge of credit bandits.
@volvo09
@volvo09 Год назад
@@christopherconard2831exactly, it was going to get repo'd but they didn't know that they owe the difference of the auction sale. They will probably never pay it, but it goes on your credit and any bank giving that person a loan after that is insane.

Everybody has a limit. This scenario is seen fairly frequently with sportbikes. Someone blows their wad on a dream machine and has nothing left over. @TrimeshSZ
@TrimeshSZ Год назад
The Tesla drive unit has a recommended 100,000 mile oil change interval. On some of their early cars they also recommended oil changes every few years, but this was later dropped after it was determined that the overwhelming majority of lubricant deterioration was caused by distance run. Also remember that the primary causes of oil deterioration in a combustion engine are contamination from combustion products, high temperatures and the oil being hammered by high pressure during the combustion stroke. None of these apply to EVs. @@bennyfactor

I think what's sad about all of these vids are that once you spend enough time in the automotive repair industry, you're not surprised at ANY of this. In my 30+ years as a professional mechanic. I've seen or been directly involved with service orders like these. If not just like them, closely related. Even worse are the customers that say "I just picked it up from the shop" or "I just bought it at a used dealer". I've done at least two, maybe three, post purchase inspections were I told them to take the vehicle back IMMEDIATELY. Only to find out that several hours later the vehicles burned to the ground. I do find it somewhat amazing what some "mechanic's" ideas of "properly repaired" are. 🤯🤦‍♂

Yeeeeah I have an ST, too. Those gearboxes are sketchy, and methanol + tune is the fastest way to blow them. BUT since it's so similar to the RS, it can handle probably up to 400hp reliably. After that, you can find yourself with 7 neutrals. Not to mention they leak, so gotta make sure they keep all that fluid topped off and sealed. Mine leaked at the shifter tower housing.

That chain to the pedal reminds me of a mate who had made his own anti theft device for his V8 4 speed Falcon coupe. He fabricated a chain to the steering wheel that locked behind the brake pedal. No point paying $50 for a club lock when he could build his own. Needless to say one night leaving a friends house he forgot to unlock the device. The street had a 90 degree bend in it and he couldn't brake or steer. Ran into a 6' brick garden wall at speed and wrote off the old XA Falcon Coupe...
