Customer States Compilation (Best of July & August 2024) | Just Rolled In 

I would like to see a compilation of customer's description of the noise their car makes and the subsequent noise. Many of them are both creative and accurate.

Please let your viewers know, these are cars on the road, and driving with those (us) next to them on highways, and the like. We are doomed with idiots that have no idea of what they have done to their vehicles. Appreciate your videos, and keep them coming.

I've met a few guys with this type of mentality and money. They are some of the most narcissistic people you will ever meet and are highly manipulative as well.

Ive done this. For 30 yrs , ill look at a chicks car & it will tell you how she is . A messy sloppy car shes got a sloppy brain & dirty , lazy etc

What sort of person does this? Long hair, wears flip flops, smokes weed, It is not a well dressed person in a suit that is spick and span.

That goes for everyone but the mechanic themselves.. as a mechanic myself.. we know what will work. Fairly safely.. but be next too free.. kings of cheep fixes . At least on our work vehicles lol. Who wants to fix their own stuff after fixing everyone else’s first.

So many people have no idea what they are looking at, they can look right at the problem and shrug. I can't imagine how many used cars are sold without the hood ever opening! They don't know how the hood works!

I'm sorry, you're expecting somebody to walk all the way AROUND their car to check if the passenger door is open? People have things to do, you know. Like take their car to the shop and spend half the day waiting for the mechanic to tell them about the open door.

To be fair, I'd rather have people bring a car into the shop for a weird rattling and it turn out to be rocks than for someone to misdiagnose a real issue and drive on the freeway. Sure there's a middle ground, but better to be safe

Yeah, it got him out of a pickle and wasn't something I wouldn't do in a similar situation.

Got one caliber piston stuck while away in cat surgery. Could not move the time and didnt have tools, otherwise i would have done this. Instead stopped every 10km to spray water to disk, caliber and rim to cool them off to get the cat home into warmth and next day replaced both disks, caliber and soon after when had spare time, wheel bearing since it got too toasty to my liking. Could have saved lots of money if i had tools to do that instead and hell two hours that operation took would been plenty enough for such hack.

​​@@EddieTheHCraziest get me home fix that I ever did was when I lost a FWD axle. The brakes were on the gearbox, so I pulled the remains of the axle out and locked that brake up and drove it back home.

@@pictsidhe6471 Most of my crazy get homes were on motorbikes. Chains held together with fencing staples and the like. That was properly dangerous. 😬

Yeah, my bet whenever I see spray foam (especially to "fix" suspension issues) is that the customer did it himself and is too chicken-s#!t to admit it.

There is no "other shop". Just a friend that thinks they know something.

Most of these videos are from places with required inspections to even be allowed to drive. Others are just morons that are indoctrinated on social media "evil mechanics" and think anything that doesnt cost $10 is a scam.

It typically means either the person is near broke and they can afford $X but not $X+1, literally that's how much money they have left. ORRRRR that the person is cheapskate to the point that it actively makes their life harder.

@npsit1, what gets me are the people who bring their cars in for repair and expect the workman to deal with trash/spit and whatever else is splattered all over the inside of the thing. I mean for that one to tell them "Be careful of the rats...." WTH?! Get some 50 gallon trash bags and clean that $#&* OUT of there. -_-

friend says his shop has a NO clue swear box $1for no clue, other shop $5, zip ties $1 each. $5 for self repair, winner is one who call date where none of above happens ( best reward $1741)

Also, the person who said to watch out for Rats... at 14:28 If that customer said that to me, i would reject the work, tell them to clean out their car, give it a proper wash & clean and then come back and we will do the work. If they complain then i will just tell them that, no matter what mechanics you go to they will probably say the same thing.

@@razordrive3238 having done automotive service professionally, none of this is silly to me. I’ve had vehicles come in in unsafe condition and actually would refuse to let people drive them away if the declined repairs. Had cops called on me before because of it. Every time they were on my side. Cars being driven in these conditions is how people die.

If it was winter you can overfill your tires and not know it. Then when it gets warm enough out the air pressure rises back up.

I suspect most of the declined repairs cases are because the owners can barely afford gas, let alone big repair bills.

How do you even let your car get that filled??? NGL, I’ve had some “trashy” cars before (happens sometimes when your job puts you behind the wheel for 8-ish hours a day - definitely not proud), but I’ve never even seen a car this bad. I also now get annoyed when there’s too many empty grocery bags (for going shopping, since we have to pay for bags where we live) in the cargo area.

Wide body kits are great…if you’re actually doing it to get fatter wheels…

My used car came with some 1" spacers. It's actually necessary for these 8.5" wheels to clear the coilovers springs. The wheels are only available in one offset. Sometimes the spacers are needed!

I have a sneaking suspicion that if I knew you, I would take your advice on car repairs and maintenance.

Yeah if ECM does not get good signal from crank sensor it will shut down the engine cause wrong crank angle means its out of timing and in interference engine where valves and piston use same space, results of timing being off can become very expensive ie full engine rebuild or new engine. This issue can also happen due poor ground on wiring, witch is common cause for all kind of funky stuff modern cars can do, so if there is anything odd, check the grounding points and battery wires for corrosion. There is grounding points between engine and chassis well as in the trunk so check least most of them to fix the issue. Clean the contact and wire and try again, it might well fix the issue and cheap repair. If not then you might need actual car electrician to check the issue. Another is to check the fuses and feel if relays are clicking when those should be.

K/N works well, but people neglect to oil them

Ceramics and glass fiber. Unless its old clutch with asbestos not that big of a issue, though i would recommend PPE for protect lungs and maybe gloves, but its mostly just going to itch. Also shop vac to clean the area.

@richwielechowski5191 I ended up cutting it actually. It was wedged in there good. I put some bitch mittens on and gave it a couple tugs and it wouldn't budge. Pulled out the hacksaw and halfway through cutting, it snapped the rest of the way from tension

When I lived in Massachusetts they had safety inspections, but the shop at the end of my road was owned by Russians. It was so funny. (Cue heavy Russian accent) " You have one wiper only? In Russia one wiper is luxury. We put hand out window and wipe with rag. PASS! You have only one headlight? In Russia headlight is luxury. We have wife hold flashlight out window. PASS!" etc..
