Well its 2019 and ships are being stacked outside the harbour for up to 2 weeks waiting to be docked and off loaded, trucks wait 2 to 3 days to off load or load from the harbour. Only 1 working gantry and only senior managers are acting ones, no permanent appointments.
This is a DISGRACE because the INEFFICIENCIES in the Port of Durban Terminal is an INDICTMENT on the Port's MANAGEMENT ; THE UNIONS and the GOVERNMENT ; as well as the Ministry under which TRANSNET falls . The Minister under which TRANSNET falls must either willingly RESIGN or be FIRED by Ramaphosa . This whole CHAOTIC situation is happening under Ramaphosa's watch . 😢😮 . "ITS A SHAME AND A DISGRACE " .
How is your process of paying workers work especially for the ones that makes delivering using their trucks why you don't pay them in time and do as you promised but make empty promises
I think it's the worst port in the world as for transnet worker are like always on a go slow the traffic will be queuing all the way on bayhead road but they will just play with they phones and not worry about the work I think our port is a huge joke.
What a sad story to see how poor Durban harbour is doing now. It has deteriorated to the worst harbour in the world. Single handily destroying supply chains for thousands of businesses and millions of consumers of goods.

Peter, these clowns cannot even answer a phone never mind run an ICT system.... I have used all our major ports everyday for the last 30 years and it only gets worse... get rid of the management, get labour that wants to work and invest in infrastructure.
