Back in the day of V8s and ripped rubber motor mounts we used to put a chain on the forward torque side and make it tight. The vibration and sound would go through the chain but we liked it that way.

Some of those folks questioning your methods and procedures, must not actually pay attention to your videos. Your work ethic and honesty should be an indication that your care for others' vehicles, as if they were your own. Always thinking of the customer (unless they are dipsticks!) and their safe, dependable mode of transport.

May want to try Diablo or Lenox blades for your Sawzall. Longevity tends to exceed that of Dewalt, in my experience. Appreciate your videos, Kenny.

Eh, blades are pretty close to a 1-2 bolt use. I use Diablo, pretty much toss a blade after every use. Buy them in packs of 25 for $40.

Diablo blades are garbage. I’d put a DeWalt or Milwaukee blade against them any day. The huge problem with reciprocating blades is the same with drill bits. Speed is your enemy. People are generally stupid & hit the loud pedal all the way when cutting wood or metal.

They do make blades that will survive more than one bolt but i just get the cheaper blades and plan on them being single use only even the high dollar carbide blades shut down pretty quick from heat. I use oil when cutting steel

So my brother calls me up and says that his old Dodge truck, with automatic transmission, sometimes changes into neutral when he is turning. I went for a test drive with him and yep the transmission popped into neutral on the first turn 1/2 a block from his house. I told him to keep the truck under 5 mph and drive right back home. This truck only has three "motor mounts": two engine to frame mounts at the front of engine and one on the automatic transmission to frame. The two front real motor mounts were completely broken apart with complete metal to rubber separation. There are only two bolts per one motor mount. So really all we had to do was remove and replace 4 bolts. Six hours later we had the job done. We had to remove a lot of components and the take apart transmission mount and use two floor jacks to get the front of the engine up high enough to slip in two new motor mounts. aieeeeeee 4 bolts removed and replaced in 6 hours.

I’ve had that happen in my 2004 Chevy venture. And it is a very distinctive rumbling sound. You could really hear it when you change from drive to reverse, especially as you showed in your video.😊

Never heard of vacuum motor mounts but I do know that sound and vibration cannot travel thru a vacuum.

Ford PCMs have 3 connectors when transmission controls are included (no TCM required), or 2 connectors if the transmission is controlled by a separate module.

Please do not grind using the sides of those thin "cutofff only" grinder blades. Really they are designed to only grind on the circumference edge. Side grinding can destroy the blade with catastrophic failure with flying shrapnel. Other type of grinding wheels are designed for both side and circumference grinding. I know most people remove the guards on their grinders but I don't because I used to work in an ER and saw too many injuries. I have a really nice straight air grinder similar to yours, but mine has an unremovable tool less guard that can be easily repositions by flipping a latch. My fantastic straight air grinder even has the feature of being able to switch the turning direction so that you can fling the sparks in a safe direction.

I am working on a 2017 kia soul got knok sensor code and its in limp mode i couldnt get the intake manifold to come off i look and look then i found it a bolt at the bottom had to remove the belly pan to get to it but i got it off going to put it back together tomorrow. Update got it all back together but had to fine a obd scanner to clear the code before it would come out of limp mode but it runs great

No worries about the transmission failing it's matter a matter of when not if. I'm certain they never changed the fluid. If I owned one of those pieces of shit I'd change it every 30k. Some hack mechanics tell you not to change trans fluid.

@@jasonleatherwood2172 Buddy thats the other problem. I do my own repairs, saves money and never had a break down. But it should not have to be like that. Manufacturers hate mechanics. Or at least they don't want anything touched. Wages are a joke, but thats mainly due to inflation and the whole rigged shebang, but look where it leads. Imagine a motor mount flies out in the middle of the road and it leads to a chain of issues...
