With the news that the 99 Cents Only stores are closing down, customers are flocking to the discount chain to clear out the shelves before they shut the doors. Full story: abc7.com/custo...
People then complain... like tell these lowlives to stop doing this!! my nephew works at a Walgreens and even after this announcement people still stealing like crazy
For all Employees: Treat Employers Like The Rungs On The Ladder To Success, NEVER HESITATE TO STEP ON THEM, otherwise if given half the chance they WILL do the same to You!!!
I am from NYC. It took me back the days when 99¢ stores were in every street corner. Brought Gelly roll pens & butterfly hair mini clips they were the ultimate hype. Back in middle school. Stanley cups got nothing! Good times.
The real thief’s are making a killing of the American consumer stupidity/loyalty. But let’s blame it on $20 wage that has stipulations for those affected, but we blame it on the worker for wanting a piece.
It'll be interesting to see if this is a "true" Going out of Business sale. Many stores bring in merchandise and churn inventory that wasn't there before the sale starts. Check and price compare before you assume you're getting a great deal!
20 us dollar for compensation for I employee, don't wNt to give, but for war they have money to bust all the us dollar in WR,. I don't know what to say to the leader.
Shoplifting's impact on businesses is often downplayed. There's a concerning trend of people and the media overlooking shoplifting as a major factor in store closures. This neglects the financial strain theft puts on businesses, which can be a tipping point, especially when combined with other economic challenges.
you do realize this is a business and they have the choice to not wait until the need to declare bankruptcy right? Would you wait till you're broke to finally call quit on something that kept losing you money?
Everybody can afford food if they just stop buying B.S items like the latest phone that will just keep tabs on how broke you are and spent money on 15.00 shots, cute socks, White Claw, crocs, designer shoes and hats, vapes, skins for your kids Fortnite characters, Starbucks, 5 guys, Mc Donalds, your year subscription to something you didnt know you had, like Amazon prime, Spotify, Royal Match, etc etc
No competition Corporate isn't stupid they are automating restaurants drive thrus use AI to take orders they have 2 people working in the kitchen pretty soon all the food prep will be automated while the prices will increase. Still Americans will go and stuff their faces
@user-mh3qq5gv4x it's already happening unfortunately, I only work one day out of the whole week and don't even get my full 8 hours, only 6 hours, freakn ridiculous!

The results of Build Back Better: stores shutting down, gas prices rising, a bowl of soup for $20! Sure, cheer up. At least we're making Ukraine rich, right? 🤣 Btw, I'm not joking about the soup. I was dumb and paid $20 for pho which includes both tax and tip.
The former vice-president of Argentina 🇦🇷 spoke about this issue, she looked at the numbers and saw unprecedented growth following the pandemic, the problem is that growth is concentrated at the very top, she asked the theological question: how do you keep four living corpses from eating the whole pie?
I just read that BIG LOTS and the co-owner of Pic & Save ( would you believe there’s 2 locations left in California) has put a group of investors together to save 143 stores in California only . There going to let the stores close for 90 days then rebrand and reopen .
I worked there for seven years and saw the same people walk out with bags of merchandise daily, so @rayw-martinez3555 you don't know what the hell you're talking about and stop defending homeless lazy POC trash that took me and my coworkers' jobs.
DESPERATE TWIST ! LOL 🤣 OVERPRICED AND OVERRATED MOST ITEMS THEY SELL COST LESS AT WALMART. THOSE FEW THEY SELL FOR LESS ARE EVEN CHEAPER FROM DOLLAR TREE 99 CENT STORE BLEACH $1.99 DOLLAR TREE BLEACH $1.25 SOMETIMES LARGER SIZE 99 CENT STORE BLEACH $1.99 DOLLAR TREE BLEACH $1.25
I can’t say I’m shocked. Everyone wants to blame democrats but if you’ve been in there in the last 5 years, even just prior to the pandemic, their quality and service took a massive dump. It’s not what it was in the 90s or 00s.
The Gold Family was great. As soon as Private Equity bought the company and took it private they kicked out the Gold Family. Since that time its been a slow slide downhill
I never voted for smarmy Newsom. He doesn't talk to the little people, unless there is a camera. I was right in front of him never greeted me, not even a smile, nothing, before he was Governor. He is rude.
I know the stores are in other states, but can only comment because I live in California. The company probably gave up because of the $20 raise aside from Newsom giving his best friend from Panana a sweet heart deal. Large companies are literally seeing 75% of there items walking out the door.
Democrats say99 cent stores close is whatever because the economy is so strong. My friend said that he’s broke af living af his moms. Why are they so delusional. He shut me down when I asked him if the economy is doing so good then why is hdd we not able to rent or buy a place of his own?
Does he work at McDonald's or something? Maybe he needs to get a different job where they pay him a decent wage & lets him work overtime. I make $24 an hour with an average of 25 - 30 hours of overtime. My rent is $650 & I have a newborn & 3 year old. My wife takes care of the baby, so I'm the only provider. On top of that, I'm able to smoke an Ounce of MJ every 2 weeks. I also enjoy a bottle of Tequila with family here & there. I'm able to afford groceries, feed & take care of my family (kids are expensive) buy myself things that I want & need, pay all my bills, etc. How exactly am I able to do all of that? 🤔 All I here nowadays is people complaining about how the cost of living is way too high & they can't afford anything cause of Biden. Maybe people should take better control of their lives/ finances & quit blaming others for their incompetence 🤷🏼♂️ Just a thought.
@@Indigo_Alchemist_1111maybe his friend lives in California where rent is $2000 starting for a one bed and jobs are paying $19-25 for most people unless they’ve been working for 10+ years
@@Indigo_Alchemist_1111 your dollar is NOT what it was worth a few years ago... I can't believe you can defend this administration... put on your boot straps...lol!!!
Remember the 10% will drag on with their liquidation long enough for the company to at least recover some of the lost in theft from some of those very people shopping experiences.. Sad the company is going full steam in this shutdown in anyway it can even with the people working paycheck to paycheck, credit card spending, Seniors watching their pennies to get on the 10% . Let's just bet how long that 10% is going to last in the coming weeks before the company as it gets close to June it goes up 30%😢😅 😅
But the economy doing great everything is going great you knw Biden said it was everyone is doing way better now then ever before you know man it's way better now thanks Biden again for everything you have done for America
I knew stores were losing money they're not Charity. Suppliers knew they can sell at 99 not the dollar tree or dollar geeneral because customers buy them fast at 99. Now no one wins by closing it down.
@@michaelellringer5600 I went to Syracuse University. I graduated in the top half of my class with 3 degrees & went on a full scholarship, only one in my class to do so. I was the outstanding political science student. I'll be happy to compare IQ's anytime.
@@289cobra9 With your degree you're probably aware of the fact that no President has any control over inflation. I lived thru the nonstop inflationary 1970's and neither Ford, Carter or Nixon was able to control the inflation. Nixon tried price control and then was labeled a socialist. Corporate greed is behind inflation. And Trump wouldn't have been able to control it either so why are you pining this on Biden and not the corporations?
Honestly surprised that not 1 of the dollar brand type of stores bought the others out and made it their last stand before never being a dollar store again.
it isnt just 99c it went up to 99 plus yrs ago. some items are alot. dollar tree is going up to 1.50 plus items but all the items are smaller amounts as well. what will they be turning these stores into i wonder.
This is exactly why it is necessary for government to step in and stop any store from closing. As long as the store company has money and can borrow, they should be forced to stay open with shelves fully stocked.
