Customising Finni the Fairy

I this video I customise an AliExpress Blythe into a fairy in order to take part in the "Fairy" collaboration hosted by Marna from ‪@DollsRescued‬ .
I attempted face plate carving for the first time among other things.
It's a rather long video which is perfect for watching/listening to while you perhaps craft something yourself. I definitely enjoy watching other people's crafting videos when I create something.

Thanks very much! 💗😊 Filming it was definitely a learning process and I had to edit every evening in order to keep below the storage limit. I hope you have a go in the future, I would definitely watch! ☺️

You are so funny Milly! No excuses, got to do it now. I am so very proud of you sticking to this and not giving up. You have more courage than I do that is for sure. You have such a steady hand, that's wonderful. I read somewhere long ago that when people wait till the last minute (procrastinators) like me and you, it is because they are afraid and scared of making mistakes. I know that is right. Don't you agree? You are such a brave woman to tackle the things that you do. Live and learn, right. I love her eyes and her outfit so very much. The wings are incredible too. I am impressed on how you handled her hair. You have the patience of a Saint. I loved this video very much. Thanks for making it. You didn't want to make her have eyebrows? I want to do that for mine, but I am not sure what shape to make them in. I want an innocent eyebrow expression. See you next video.

I think you might be right about procrastinators being afraid to make mistakes. I've wasted a lot of time by being too nervous to make a start with projects which is a shame. It would do us both good to believe in ourselves a bit more ☺️. Thanks very much for calling me brave though 💗. Once I got started (at last 😄) I did actually enjoy the process despite still being nervous. I'm so glad you like her, thanks for the lovely compliments 💗💗💗😊. p.s. I tried very briefly to draw eyebrows on but didn't like them. Off they went! Maybe next time 🤞😄 I'm sure Lilly would look wonderful with an innocent looking expression and I would love to see her. Let me know if you're on Instagram or something 😀.

That is a good tip about thickness and using a light. I wish you could just spray them with a Matte spray like you do dolls and not have to sand down their faces.

Thanks 😊. I think some people do spray them without sanding first and, on Instagram, I've just seen someone spray a shiny Barbie body without sanding first. She said it works really well!

@@bubuyadoll 😄 That's what I do as well. I'll be making the free Barbie movie dress pattern in a few days (at last). I'll post the video by the weekend hopefully and the link to the free doll pattern should be in the video link. It'll be fun to sew along if you like making doll clothes ☺️.
