Currently ride a VTX 1800R, and I'm seriously considering moving to a Vaquero. Yours is the nicest one I've seen, and really like all the mods. Keep it up, I'm gonna subscribe.
Hey man, sweet bike brother. I've been looking at getting one these bad boys. Thanks for all the mod info, it makes me even more excited to have chosen this bike over the others out there
It has turned out nice. I've seen a few of your videos before. You have done a good job. I was looking at getting one of these but I got a hell of a deal on an Indian Roadmaster so I picked that up instead.
Thanks for watching I appreciate the kind words. I really love my bike I like the fact that I've done it/built it. I've only seen a handful of idians in my area. Good luck with your machine.
Thanks for the nice words. I just wanted to be different, think I'm heading in the right direction. Search 26" vaquero Torion is the owner he has a bad ass vaquero as well.
Lab Insight if your on Facebook check out vaquero owners page, custom vaquero owners etc. There's some very nice bikes, the customization is definitely coming along for these metric baggers.
Beautiful bike! I'm stealing your front blinkers and your rear blinkers lol. I also am waiting on some Brewster adapters for the front. I am also waiting on the Smoking tyre garage pipes. Lots of cool stuff on your bike bro. I drew some inspiration from it.
Wow thanks a lot for the compliment!!!! I'm pumped yo found inspiration with the things I've done!!! Most of the stuff I have links too, for the turn signals make sure you get load resistors so they will blink normally.
Great mods the bike looks sweet I have the 2015 and I love the Vulcan Vaquero 1700. It is my first bike and I must say I have not been disappointed. I just wish Kawasaki provided more options for the bike. They provisioned the bare minimum accessories for one of their premier bikes. They did not add Bluetooth, Navigation, or LED lights. I guess they will get their act together one day. Ride hard and stay safe.
Thanks for watching, yeah kawi sorta missed the bus as far as accessories goes lol. I mean 30 pin ipod connector is early 2000's technology lol. Fortunately the aftermarket is opening up some for the 1700 line up, hopefully kawi doesn't pull the plug on them.
Nice ! Always interesting how people let you hear how the radio sounds through there cell phone speaker. Let's see how bright the headlight is . Te 😄 HeHe,just playing. I really like my 2009 1700cc Vulcan.
EcoboostKevin if I may suggest a test drive you'll be saving yorswlf a huge chunk of money. I am not biased at all you will defiant to have the ecu flashed and at least upgrade exhaust to slip ons. other than that the aftermarket support is decent obviously no where near harleys level. test drive one I feel you'll be surprised. even with all the "mods" I've saved probably 4-6k over a stock new HD. nothing against them either. good luck
I have never seen a Vaquero with lowers. Do they make them? I ride for months on end in the rain (Seattle). These bikes might be the best value for dollar out there for touring bikes. Enjoy your bike it looks nice.
which ones? the rear are called "clearance signals" from ebay and the front I don't remember what they are called but also from ebay. the fronts can be wired up as DRL as well but I like the some what hidden look until they are hit for signaling. I will ad some links to the description here soon.
Nice bike bro, how is the power on it? I got an m109r and love the power. I know the seat position is comfortable on that bike and im curious about getting one of those as well.
Brake light Warranty i just laughed when you said you got passenger floorboards for people like that😂😂😂and put the cam on your son sitting on the ground chillin. Lol be safe bro peace.
@@BrakelightWarranty Thank you very much for replying. Your bike is very nice looking. Definitely like what you have done with her. I'm definitely considering going 21 inch. I'm hoping it doesn't change the handling of the bike too much.
Nice bike bro. I’m actually picking up a 2011 this weekend. Can’t wait. I see you are from Illinois. So am I. Any tips I need to know about this monster.
The vaquero is the perfect fit for my wants/needs in a bike the customizing isn't as large as other brand but it's growing. If you.havent bough check ebay and cycletrader.com I saw a couple.on ebay for 12k buy it now.
you have the nicest Vaquero ive seen thus far,, excellent upgrades,, im excited about my future mods after watching this,, i recently copped a Vaquero & am wanting to upgade to a 26in wheel also,, how much is that project gonna cost us? thanks
Yusef Todd thank you much for the kind words! the 26" wheel price varies from manufacturer to manufacture, matching rotor or rotors etc. same for triple tree and fenders. I did the labor all myself with questions being answered by a few guys on the vaquero FB pages and I have under 3k into the 26" wheel project
I have a 2016 Kawasaki recaro not installed a 21 inch wheel on it and my ABS light is comes on can you tell me what you did with yours if you had that problem thank you
Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated! The radio I purchased at the local stereo shop, the pac swi rc I purchased off ebay and the face plate adapter I purchased from engineeredadapters.com I did the install myself. I have a video on the channel of how It all goes. If you have any question don't hesitate to ask or email me proto01@hotmail.com
Engineeredadapters.com you'll have to email him, it usually takes a couple weeks to get them as he 3d prints them. Randy the guy who does them is a great guy to deal with.
Great bike, I just bought a 2016 Voyager...traded in 2011 Voyager...love the bike. What did you use to get the speaker covers, the handle bars and reservoir covers on the handle bars to be black, i really want to do that to my bike. Thanks a lot!!
Beautiful Bike, only bad thing about metric bikes is the resale value, you probably spent more on the accessories than the bike is worth. Love everything you did, and it looks great.
Resale value??? Why would you sell it? I ride a 2000 Nomad vn 1500. Got over 100,000 miles, been cross country 7 times last 11 years. Only changed oil, tires and clutch(35 to 40,000 miles on clutches) check it at [ vroc.org ] on the page left edge/click club roster . My # is 20160..
yes the lower fender is ABS plastic I took a step but and drilled the holes then used a file to make them the perfect size. I also put a bead of silicone around the back side for extra security.
i need your help we have the bike and year what is your out take on 21 inch rim how do it ride if i decide to go with it what do i need to get New York City
@@BrakelightWarranty ok iam going with 21 kit is there any else i need do i have to change any thing besides the fender i love your paint iam going to get mines painted also
@@kevinbrunson9310 make sure the kit you purchase comes with the fender spacers. Other than that just make sure you transfer the bearing shields to the new wheels and you're good to go
Yeah I purchased it thru Engineeredadapters.com as well. I probably could have made one as well but it was nice to not have to mess around with it either.
Brake light warranty, when you installed your rear LED lights, was the wiring connection s difficult? And, installing them into the rear panel, did you have to use a silicone glue to get them to hold in place? I have the same lights, about to install very soon!
Addonis Hawkins I used a step bit the lights are pretty snug in the holes but I did put a bead of silicone around the housing on the back side of them.
I have a 16 Vaquero same color. It's hard find aftermarket parts for it. Where did you get that antenna and what was the amp you used? I'm also looking for the same wheel but with green instead of black to make that green trim pop
Prime Elite Ent. what aftermarket parts are you looking for that you can't find? we definitely don't have as many companies to choose from. you can order a wheel and have it powder coated just about any olor you desire. or have it all black and use vinyl to highlight the lip. the antenna I brought of off amazon.
I have two questions. What kind of short antenna are you using because I have a 2015 vaquero and can't stand the long antenna, but also can't seem to find a replacement. Second question is the exhaust you are using is it a full or slip on? Either way the only exhaust I've found is the cobra slip ons and the freedom performance exhaust. My year make vaquero has issues with power commanders so I was just gonna go slip on to save the trouble
Hey bro. I just bought a 2016 Vaquero and its in the shop getting customs touches added to it. The shop ordered the Vance and Hines slip ons but they said they would not work with the 2016 because Kawasaki changed the placement of the O2 sensor. Did you have this problem when you installed your pipes and if so how did you work around it? They recommended I go with the Cobra slip ons but I prefer the V&Hs better if I can get them to work. Thanks. Jeremy
Thanks. Ivan's ECU flash is on the top of my list once I have the bike. One last question, after you installed your led signals what did you do to keep the blinking rate down (ie load equalizer etc.)? In doing so did you lose your stock self-cancelling turn signals?
Yusef Todd it took some adjusting not gonna say it didnt, but within a few hundred miles it was fine. In my opinion it's a personal preference, the 26" after being done correctly handles just as well as stock. I'm gonna upload a new video by the end of the day.
I have seen many put the mini ape bars, but cannot for the life of me understand why no one places the wires inside them. Not a big fan of how it looks outside the bars. Factory its all tight and hidden. But once mini bars are installed.....takes away the look. So my question is, can the wires be placed inside? Do you know if anyone has done it. Thanks for your time.
chip barkhouse the baron bars are not drilled for internal wiring. Over winter I'm going to have a local bike builder install ghost bars where everything is hidden. Roaring toyz and fmb bars make mini apes that can be wired internally.
Brake light Warranty Ghost bars? Is that like a cover that attaches to the bars and yet hides the wires? Sounds alot better and easier than internal wiring. Wonder if the wire housing at the grips, are hidden as well. HD does do a good job with having the wires under the housing hidden. Thanks
A new ECU is very expensive, best bet would be to send it in one week when weather is going to be bad. I did the flash and the pipes at the same time. It's definitely a huge wakeup for the 1700
S I D ROLL no problem, it'll be the best performance investment for the 1700. I have a vance and hines pro pipe for sale if you don't have exhaust already.
Very nice! I'm shopping now for a 2013 -19 VN Voyager..white is my choice color on the ride. Ive been riding a year 2000 vn1500 Nomad for 17 years, now. Got more than 103,000 miles.. hard bags, windshield, Cadillac silver frost and diamond white. Hope you make that many miles..check it at vroc.org - click on club roster , member # is 20160
Brake light Warranty OK what would you like for the wheel my 2015 has green pinstriping and the wife and I think that green ring would look good on are bike with the white wall tire I called and priced a new and about fell over thank you getting back to me
