Customizing 30 Christmas Ornaments... *this took weeks* 

Wow, I never thought a painting video would be so heartfelt and hit me so close to home because I also deal with infertility due to PCOS. So I totally get where you are coming from. It's definitely a blessing when it happens when you can finally say that you were able to carry a baby and be a mom. That's one of my goals in life. One day it'll happen. I haven't given up on faith yet nor do I plan on it.

I just want to say thank you. Whenever I feel anxious or stressed I rewatch your videos. Your content is amazing at helping me stop negative thought loops and look more on the brighter side of life. Thank you so much for all your hard work. It's helped me a ton. Sending lots of love from my family to yours for the holidays.💙

Mira Byler, you are a painting machine! It's amazing how you shift from motif to motif, subject to subject. Right after we get ourselves another piece of leftover pumpkin pie, we're gonna paint us some ornaments too!

I absolutely love watching you paint water. I've had to have watched that big water painting that you had in the background of your videos for a while probably 10 times at least studying how you do it and just enjoying it.

I am not a painter so I have no paints or supplies. (Colored pencils are as far as I get) I wish that Arteza would have included paint and supplies with those wood slices. I ordered these same ornaments from Amazon, and (after seeing your wood ornament painting video) I painted family ornaments for all my friends. I love handmade gifts - painted ornaments, cross stitch stuff, or even having my kiddos paint stuff for family, friends, and teachers! I also love the meaning behind your cloud rainbow painting. I suffered a miscarriage before my first son, and it is still the toughest thing I've gone through. It was such a super blessing having my rainbow baby! 🌈 Also also, I've batched cross stitch patterns before so that I could have the same pattern design to give to family members. So efficient!

I was born with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, and I was born in Canada. The two things all Arthritis hates the most are damp and cold. Canada gets snow in the winter. Snow is both damp AND cold, so needless to say, my favourite season is summer too haha.

Recognising loss is such a noble thing to do as I have actually miscarried twins myself many years ago …to know someone else understands the way it feels makes me appreciate how to support others going through what I have gone through…xxx

I don't eat a lot of candy these days, and I can't have the kind I truly love best (cuz I can't have chocolate).... but I have a real sweet tooth and LOVE candy.... so it's hard to pick ONE favourite.... but.... Caramels or wherther's original, are in the top 5. My favourite Season was Winter, for most of my life, but in the last 5 years or so.... I think it's Fall, now.... because winter isn't like it used to be, and there's mostly only the "bad parts" about it, left..... but I still can't help but think it's BEAUTIFUL when everything is snow-covered.... and Summer has always been the one I like the least, because of the bugs and my allergies, and the heat.... But.... Summer, like every season has it's pros and cons. Your ornaments are all great.

As always I adore your animals in clothes, happy to see the anthropomorphic bunny. But I absolutely LOOOVE the moth ornaments! They're so gorgeous. Thanks for the inspiration.

Great ornaments! I got two Arteza ornament wood slices in the 12-Day calendar and painted one of them so far. I like that they have holes pre-drilled so I don’t have to do it myself.

Although I agree with you I think the cracking gives it natural charm. Like old-fashioned back In the olden days. :-). They are all so fun! So favourite non-chocolate candy is Sour Patch Kids, but my favourite chocolate bar is Burnt Almond. And then I’m a fall fan myself! Minus the wasps.

This year I’m skipping Christmas/new year holidays, going through a very hard time so not worth to just be ‘happy’ and pretend I’m fine. Also no decorations or Christmas tree, but that’s something I skipped already 2 years in a row and not missing it

These are so beautiful! Your blublefly creatures are so sweet and you should think about writing a childrens book about them. Maybe even a series of them and even stuffed animal ones to go with the book. I have followed you for a long time and I remember the first time I saw one it was maybe in a light bulb and it was like nighttime navy blue and it was sleeping or something like that and I thought wow these are so adorable and special and magical. Such a creative mind you have to come up with such adorable little creatures! Just throwing that out there about the book. Your so talented! My favorite candy is one that is NOT available in Belgium … peanutbutter m&m’s . We have them in like ‘geek’stores or stores with international foods but it’s like $ 7for a small bag so totally not worth it for more than once a year

I too love painting wood slice ornaments and the cracking drives me nuts. I’ve had some huge cracks that have completely ruined some of my ornaments. So far I’ve found a coat of mod podge before hand helps. Love the moths btw 😀

This was a lot of fun to watch. I was painting ornaments myself at the same time. Though mine are the traditional ball shape and abstract. I love how bright and colourful yours are. It's neat how your able to do so many styles. The blubble flies turned out really cute. I'm excited to get a tree this year it will be my first in my own place. I like the idea of changing decor with the seasons. My favourite season is winter. Don't really have a favourite candy.

So weird, I have literally just started to do this exact same thing! I did a mini snow scene to practice with and then I painted some of them completely white apart from the edges. I also ordered some clear gesso so that I could try to keep some of the wood visible. I haven't finished the video yet so sorry if you cover this but I just wanted to ask, what do you do on the back of the ornaments or do you just leave them blank and that's where you can see the wood texture?

Just an idea if you put down gesso first that will create a barrier to anymore moisture seeping any further which will help with cracking
