Customizing a Jaw Harp. Hook trigger turned to a loop design.  

Thats how i ruined many of my harps that eventually led to me experimenting with different metal reeds and loops and finding truely unique sounds and perhaps styles as i am still just learning but i felt bad changing such an original instrument but in the end, it could help shape the future of jaw harping if more people experimented like this. };)

Your videos have been really inspirational for me as I've been proggressing on my jaw harp journey 🙏 I was wondering, is it easier to play outward with a loop trigger than a hook one? I have a Black fire C and it has a hook trigger and I've been practicing inward-outward plucking but it always seems to get stuck to my finger on the outward pluck making the sound quite bad. Or is it just technique? I've been practicing only for like 8 months so I imagine my plucking technique has still lots of room for improvement.

Hello, I wondered if you might be happy to offer some advice... I'm looking for a harp that makes the more spacey sounds as i've heard you describe it thrm. One which has a good sustain and range in possible frequency if there is such a harp. not super bass, maybe somewhere between mid range and bass. for example, on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is high frequency and 10 is full bass, I think I'd like something around a 7 or 8. but also one that has a magnet to change the frequency if possible. I'm just looking for something to play after I bought a brass Dan Moi for a very low price, and would just like to own one to tinker with. i'm in the UK and have found very few sellers with not a great selection plus there are so many harps to choose fromout there i was hoping you could maybe help me whittle the choice down to just a few if you wouldn't mind offering some suggestions, and also on where to buy from, because i just csn't seem to find the official websites. Not knowing Russian or Ukranian excetera doesn't help of course. 😁 also, i imagine untuned would be best although i do quite like C2 from some vids i've watche There's just too much choice and i'm only ever going to be toying around but would still like a fairly decent harp. thankyou.
